Great stay
House was just as pictured with plenty of space for a group of friends to spend the weekend! Views of the lake are gorgeous and the house was well stocked with everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful Vacation Property
This property was perfect for a one week family vacation in one of Maine's many lake regions. The house is beautiful and well equipped. The bunk suite above the garage would be perfect for older kids. The lake is large and clean. The location is only about an hour from the coast or Freeport to allow a few day excursions. Whenever I had a question, the property manager quickly responded. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Home, Great Location
A large group of family and friends stayed here for Colby Graduation. The home is beautiful. There is enough space for a large group to be together inside and out. The home is in an excellent location on the Great Pond, and is an easy drive to Colby College. I highly recommend booking early for graduation weekend, and hope we will get to stay again for a vacation week in the warmer summer months.

Beautiful Hidden Lakefront Gem!
Beautifully appointed lakefront home! We hosted our family of 12 for our son's wedding weekend. Plenty of private spaces throughout the home, as well as a great place for family gatherings to enjoy indoors or out. The property owners were very responsive and helpful, which was greatly appreciated.

Our favorite place ever
This home is perfection. The pictures are accurate but the "feel" of the house with personal touches makes it amazing. The waterfront is beautiful and makes it hard to read your book-- you can't look away. Adults and kids were happy all week. We hope to come back here every year.

This home, lake (Great Pond) and area are absolutely beautiful! My extended family of 13 enjoyed our time on the lake and the spacious home allowed us to spread out and worked out so perfectly for us. The well stocked kitchen is commercial grade which allowed room for a few chefs (and helpers) at a time resulting in several amazing meals! The property owner was very attentive which was appreciated! We hope to return and I would highly recommend this property and homeowner!

Great property in the belgrade lakes region!
Booked this house to attend a 20th college reunion (colby). 12 of us enjoyed this luxurious home and grounds with ample room for everyone and lovely amenities (canoe, stand up paddle board, gym, game room). We've already decided we want to rent again for our 30th.

Beautiful lake front property
Spent a long Easter weekend with family ranging in age from 6 months to 70+. Then owners were very responsive to all questions and requests during planning and once we arrived. The house is beautiful and every bedroom has its own bathroom which is very convenient. There are many extras in the home such as retro video game system, pool table and fully equipped gym. Unfortunately the weather was a little too cool to use the canoe, kayaks or paddle boards. The property and view are amazing. There were a few minor hiccups and maintenance issues but Matt was extremely responsive to our concerns and requests. We will happily consider staying here again and highly recommend the property.

Fab fam vaycay
This is a beautiful property with great amenities. We were 8 adults and 7 children, ages 2-9. Everyone had a wonderful time. There was enough space for all and enough "toys" to keep even the most discerning 7 and 9 year old happy! The bathrooms were like spas, the kitchen was great and the lake was pristine! A super time had by all and a great way to end the summer.

Luxurious Lake House Vacation on pristine waters
This amazing home is perfectly designed and laid out for multi-generational family vacations. We ranged in age from 4 to 71 and it was splendid. The living areas accommodate a large family gathering for meals and games whereas bedrooms with adjoining baths are perfect for privacy. The lake is pristine and the sunsets magnificent. A perfect location for all ages.

Wonderful stay on Great Pond
We had a first class experience all around. The owner was responsive, accurate in his listing and made the check in and departure process easy. The house was well-maintained, immaculate, and modernized. The kayaks and canoe were a welcome plus. The location is fantastic, the views are exceptional and I don’t have anything negative to say about it. For those looking to stay on this wonderful lake with a large group I’d highly recommend! My only small suggestions would be to add another trashcan and recycling bin as those filled up pretty quickly with our large party. It also might be good to put a mooring ball out at some point for people who rent/bring a couple boats. Would put less wear and tear on the dock in rough weather.

Outstanding House!
We had a wonderful stay at this outstanding property on the idyllic Great Pond. It’s a wonderfully laid out, well-stocked, luxurious home with all the bells and whistles you, your children, and good friends could want. The location on Great Pond and a stones through from charming Belgrade is outstanding. To top it off, Matt and Carissa are wonderful and incredibly responsive hosts to any needs / issues that may arise. We HIGHLY recommend this property.

Perfect place to celebrate my Mother’s Birthday
The pictures of this rental do not do it justice. It’s even better in person. My entire family stayed for my Mother’s 60th birthday. We had a mix of older and younger people. Everyone had enough space. The kitchen was large enough so the entire family could eat together. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Great space above the garage to entertain the kids while the adults are downstairs. The ping pong table and pool tables were a big hit. The screened in porch was a morning favorite while drinking coffee. We lucked out and the weather and sunsets were spectacular. We will be talking about this trip for a while. Would give it 10 stars if that was an option.

Book this house!
Matt and Carissa’s house was even better than we could have imagined! Our favorite spots in the house include the kitchen, master bedroom/bathroom, and lower living area with the pool table and home gym. We brought our snowshoes and spent time on the lake and we can’t wait to come back during the summer to enjoy swimming and canoeing. As our second stay with Matt, he continues to be an excellent host and his responses exceed our expectations. It was a perfect winter stay.

Perfect Maine Getaway
We had an incredible 2 week stay at this gorgeous lake front home in Maine. Matt, the owner, was responsive and helpful. We loved our days filled with boating and swimming on the lake, drinking coffee and playing games in the screened in porch, and cooking meals in the top of the line kitchen! Our family is looking forward to going back one day!

Another Colby Graduation May 2019
This was my second time renting this lovely home on Snowy Pond for my sons Colby Graduation. The home is just as pictured if not better. The rooms are huge, the full bathrooms are delightful and there is no shortage of nice towels. The kitchen is very large and was able to accommodate all 15 of us without a problem. There is ample items within to help with the cooking. I wouldn't say the home was fully clean when we arrived as there was some construction going on throughout the winter that was unfinished but Victoria had someone swing by and touch it up for us. The internet also was not working but the caretaker came by to assist in getting it up and running. This is a wonderful, large, beautiful home that is very much worth renting if you have the opportunity. Victoria is a great host and extremely responsive within minutes. Outside of the cleaning issue from construction the house is just perfect.

stunning home in a great location; minimal boat traffic on the cove, which made for great waterskiing; no major mechanical issues with the home, save some 1st floor master shower problems (which were addressed) and some HVAC issues in the kids' bunk room (they didn't care)--if the owners don't sell the property, we'll likely come back next year!

We had an amazing time in Belgrade at this gorgeous home on the lake. Our family enjoyed active days on the water and beautiful sunsets. We spent most of our time using the kayaks, rented a motor boat and a sailboat and just sat on the huge dock soaking up the sun! The house was spectacular. Thank you Victoria!!!

Amazing week!
This home is absolutely amazing and was the perfect place for our vacation. We had three families (6 adults and 8 kids) and there was still room for more guests. Plenty of space to spread out but also great spaces for everyone to come together! The house itself is gorgeous with full baths for every bedroom (and the bedrooms are large with comfortable beds). The huge kitchen is perfect for cooking together and gathering as a group. There is a screened in porch overlooking the pond where we spent time drinking coffee in the morning and playing games/cards at night. The pond itself is clean, large and quiet. We were surprised how often we were the only ones out on the water. The dock was large enough to accommodate a large pontoon boat and a ski boat that we had rented. Victoria is fantastic to rent from...pleasant, responsive and attentive. I even got a text from the cleaners before we left to check in with us and then they sent my daughter's necklace to our home that she had left behind. Our only disappointment was having to leave at the end of our week!

This could not have been more perfect. The house is large and comfortable and exquisitely crafted.
The week we spent here was our first family vacation in five years. We love Maine, and this place is by far our favorite. We had extended family and friends come through at different times. The house’s 5 master suites gave everyone their own space to feel at home, which helped with the mixed crowd we had. That kitchen is awesome to cook in and there are tons of options for nearby places to find fresh/local produce and seafood. The weather was beautiful while we were there, and the lake was nice to swim in (mid-June) even for Florida kids. Given my decades-long affection for Maine, I expected to be underwhelmed a little as reality clashed with my time-seasoned memories about what I love up there. I could not have been more wrong. The beauty of that home inside and out, it’s place on Great Pond and the way it brings the outside in made it hard to leave. There is so much room, and different spaces, we were able to keep everyone happy whether they wanted to watch movies, play board games sit and read or play ping pong. ‘Truly a brilliant layout for a big family or multi-family vacation. ‘And the sunsets: the views on the dock in the evenings were incredible. With the cool temps, the loons, the breeze...Perfection.

Colby Graduation Celebration Week
Everything about this rental was just spectacular. We were a party of 15 and there was more then ample room for all to sleep. The rooms are just as they look in the photos on this site. The bathrooms are huge and graciously done. The kitchen held us all to eat our family meals. The lower level was great for all. Ping Pong, a bar, a gym. Nothing to be missed here. The views were spectacular in every room, you looked at "Snowy Pond". You awoke to nothing but solace and closed the night off with incredible sunsets. There was ample supplies of towels, sheets, and blankets. The home owners were just wonderful from the day 1 of booking it until we left and the caretaker is just amazing they even arranged the personal chef for us who was "perfect" . The best way to celebrate a Colby Graduation or any other special something with a large group. We will be back for the next one.

The way life should be
This summer cottage is the way life should be, gracious living in an idyllic setting. The house is beautifully designed and decorated with high end finishes. It has a definite "wow" factor The lake is so handy and visible from many windows making it easy to keep track of those on the dock or in the water. The bedrooms are amble sized each with a great bathroom. The kitchen was the gathering place for everyone, with multiple cooks prepping meals, others chatting at the dining table or wandering in and out of the screened porch. It was surely the highpoint of the house. The many big screen TVs were be a hit with the Olympics on. The downstairs became the Man Cave and a great place to see the Olympics at night while the kids played ping pong. The house was spotlessly clean. And the comment from everyone was about the great bedding and comfy beds. The towels were big and fluffy, and in abundant supply. The kitchen and pantry were a great resource for a few items needed to create spur of the moment dishes. In addition there was not one tool we were lacking even for the professional chef we had for a couple days. The kayaks were great for early morning forays in the quiet air with just the loons for company. We rented a pontoon boat and paddle boards from the nearby marina and they were terrific to work with. We loved our boat rides to the island with the rope swing for jumping into the water, swimming, and paddle boarding. The boat trip to town for lunch and leisurely meander home was so much fun. We had a few items on our wish list: grab bars in the showers would be very helpful and a few maintenance items including doors opening and closing. I would have given it five stars if there hadn't been the several maintenance items. Vicky was very responsive and immediately available by text.

Large house with a master on the first floor which can be important for some families. It was clean and well stocked for guest arrival. The boat dock was good size and easily held everyone. The Wi-Fi, cable TV and other electronics was more than sufficient to keep everyone connected to the outside world even though it was a vacation!

PERFECT Maine vacation
This home is unbelievable! From the minute you enter, you will be amazed. We enjoyed it so much, we only did one day trip to Rangeley to look for moose, which was successful! Victoria has such talent for pulling items and colors together. We felt like we were in an issue of House Beautiful. The home is well equipped with all necessities. It was also impeccably clean. Everything was great- sun, swimming, sunbathing, boating, kayaking, playing games (many games of ladder toss), cooking in the gourmet kitchen, the screened porch, bunkhouse for the girls, bathrooms galore, friends visiting, lobster and clams (cooked by Days store in Belgrade), sleeping in comfort, loons, bald eagles, and the neighbor dog, Nido, who hung out with us daily. It could not have been a better vacation. We hope to come back next year and bring more family. It is Awesome!!! Thank you to the Augers for sharing their paradise with us.

I would highly highly recommend this house - it is nothing short of wonderful. The house is beautifully decorated and is right out of a coastal homes magazine. Kitchen has the highest quality appliances and makes cooking for a group very easy. We spent a week celebrating grandparent birthdays - and the house easily accommodated all of our families. The bunkhouse is an extra treat - lots of fun for the kids to stay in. Lake is gorgeous - house is on a quiet cove and the dock fits lots of sunbathers. What a special vacation - highly highly recommend.
