“The Sligo Sea Barn exceeded our expectations with its spacious, picturesque and accommodating location. It was perfect for our large group gathering with its beautiful newly renovated home. It was extremely clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We cannot say enough about our hosts Mary and Des! They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Their sincere and gracious hospitality was unmatched. There was a wonderful walking trail nearby with beautiful views and its beach front……

“Wir sind aus familiären Gründen über Silvester nach Sligo gefahren und hätten es nicht besser treffen können. Amanda und ihre Familie sind freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die alles tun, damit ihre Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wie zuhause gefühlt. Das Haus war sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Alles war tadellos sauber. Auch an den kälteren Tagen nach Neujahr waren die Räume gut beheizbar, warm und gemütlich. Das Haus ist ruhig und……

“This house was ideal for us to stay in County Mayo as a base to explore the area. It is just 10 mins from the Town of Ballina and only a short drive to the coast. The cottage contained most things we needed and instructions from the property manager we’re clear and accurate. It was great to be able to self cater as if at home. We would stay again if in the area.”

“Perfect for both of us to get away for a week over New Year with our two dogs. Weather as expected - challenging but good to get back from our long beach walks and enjoy a hot shower. Beach bar a short walk. Good atmosphere and tasty food. Shop for top-up provisions a short drive away. Annex well appointed and comfortable.”

“We ( two families with 2 children under 6 each) stayed here for a long weekend. We loved the proximity to the beach, to the view as well as cows and sheep, and access to the beach bar which was excellent. The house though plenty large enough for us, was very open, which meant sounds travelled ( babies crying either early in the morning or late at night). It was cozy and had all that we needed. Host was so lovely and helpful, easy to reach if we needed anything.”

“This cottage was absolutely perfect! Cozy and clean. A well equipped kitchen. We made several day trips to Sligo, the Aran Islands, and most of the Wild Atlantic Way. Yes, it was a drive…but this cottage was so comfy to come back to each night!”

“After a couple of weeks seeing the UK and Ireland with 9 of our kids and grandkids, we wanted a few days to rest. We loved being in the Sligo area and dining at the nearby Beach Bar. Downpatrick Head was great to see & we even drove to the Giant’s Causeway while we were in the area. Sheila’s house was a nice place to rest and relax. We loved attending church in nearby Screen. A great ending to a great trip!”

“Patrick is a fantastic host. he was so accommodating. He even facilitated our early check-in as well. Clear instructions were provided to the home, use of utilities, the management of the bins and everything else. The house was in a mint condition. Netflix, Toys, cable TV were all available for kids' entertainment as well. Wifi with good quality available. The house is much better in reality compared to the images on the website. Fantastic secluded place, very peaceful overall. Patrcik was very……

“Sligo was such a quiet and charming place. We enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Riverside Hotel for 1 night, the very spacious room, nice staff and delicious food gave us very good impression. The room was just face the river, which had amazing view. After checking out for days, we met some unhappy misunderstanding with the hotel, but finally the hotel management dealt with it effectively.”
