🔥 Fire Pit & Firewood (Important) The property has an outdoor fire pit, but firewood is not provided. Guests may purchase firewood locally. Outdoor fires are regulated by the La Pine Fire District, and seasonal restrictions are common, especially in summer and early fall. Guests must call the La Pine Rural Fire Protection District burn line before using the fire pit to confirm whether fires are allowed during their stay. Burn status can change daily based on conditions.
🎣 Fishing & River Access The property sits directly on the Big Deschutes River, with easy river access from the adjacent trail. Fishing from the riverfront is popular, with both fly fishing and spin fishing depending on season and conditions. Just minutes away is Fall River, known for world-class fly fishing, along with Fall River Falls — a scenic and easy hike. A valid Oregon fishing license is required. Licenses are easy to purchase online or at local sporting goods stores in Sunriver or Bend, and current regulations apply to the Deschutes River.
While the riverbank directly below the cabin is steep, the nearby access trail allows easy entry to the water within a short walk.

host did not respond to my messages promptly, hot tub was cold, heating element was broken and the filter was filthy and full of sludge, the cabin was freezing cold when we arrived and took 8 hours to warm to room temperature. the heater would run for about 45 minutes and then stop and go into defrost mode for about 15 minutes and then start again. we also woke up to a huge water leak the next morning after the shower upstairs leaked down to the living area. So we had to round up pots to put under the leaks and leave them out the entire stay. we were never able to use the hot tub. when i finally heard back from Chris (the owner) he told me that he had ordered the new hot tub parts and was hoping they would have arrived before our stay but they didnt, which tells me that he knew it was broken and chose not to tell us!

Wonderful.
Great stay. Says pack light take advantage. Pack a bag and hit grocery store. Has all you will need to relax and enjoy floating river. Host is very helpful and response quick. Great stay.
The property has a lovely river view and the decor is cute. The bed was very comfortable. The downsides were when we arrived the place was freezing and no heat was on. It took hours for it to heat up. We stayed during the winter Also the jacuzzi would not heat up so we didn’t use it during our stay.
Great week stay at the cabin. The location is amazing as you have access to the trails right from the cabin. Would love to return during warmer months to enjoy the River.
Cozy cabin in a great location. All the amenities you need. Owners responsive and friendly. Especially loved the small reading nook upstairs, fenced yard, well-stocked kitchen, and electric fireplaces in the bedrooms. The log furniture and cabin decor all fit well. Would have given 5 Stars except for the extremely steep stairs in need of continuous handrails easier to grab onto.
We spent a wonderful relaxing week here with our dog. The location and view can't be beat. We went for walks on the trails that start right from the driveway every day; they lead to amazing swimming holes where we all had a blast. We enjoyed sitting on the various decks listening to and watching the birds, which were the only sounds for miles. The views of the river were spectacular. The house itself was really comfortable, with a great main bedroom with balcony, a nice kitchen, good wifi, and a Roku set up for guest access. We definitely plan to come back again!

Amazing trip
Great secluded riverfront location. Close enough to town to make daily trips. Neatby kayaking launches make it a prime location. Check out the hidden room in the kids room for a great entertainment area.
We had an incredible time. The snow was absolutely gorgeous. The house was cozy and spotless. It's obvious that the owners take great pride in this property. Everything looks brand new! I appreciated all of the seasonings and coffee extras left for us, as well as laundry soap and good hand soap. It was quiet, serene, and all of the blankets (and beds) were extremely comfortable. I can't wait to come back in the summer!
Overall, this was a nice place to spend our week near Sunriver. We enjoyed the property's viewing deck just above the river. The hot tub was wonderful, but the new location was disappointing and not scenic or even very nice. There's no place for towels, robes, etc. The cabin and surroundings are agreeable but items were lacking - bedding, places to hang wet towels, bath mats, first aid kit, pump for the basketball that was flat...and some annoyances - the dishwasher was tipping out of its space under the counter (which was quickly repaired). The shower curtains are a nightmare to close and one has several rings ripped out from past efforts to get the rings to budge. The shower curtain downstairs should be replaced and the floor cleaned around the edges. This brings me to the other grubby unpleasantries. Dog hair, clogged tub drain, pillow shams and bed skirts clearly not washed for however long was just uncomfortable, and the kitchen needs a good scrub.
The river and hiking was lovely despite the smoke from the forest fires. Not sure I'd stay at this exact cabin again though.
What a find! This home is perfectly located at the end of a quiet road, next to trails and the beautiful Deschutes River. Our group consisted of myself, my husband, our two kids (19 and 21), my son's girlfriend (19), briefly, my nephew (19), and our two dogs. There was so much to do (or not do!) that everyone kept themselves entertained as much or as little as they wanted. We could easily hike, bike, or take the provided kayaks down to the water, which we did a few times. While the interior of the home is quite comfortable, I think we spent most of our time outside on the deck, enjoying the beautiful view and the soothing sounds of nature. Couldn't have asked for a better rental. The owners of the property were great with their communication with us before and during our stay.
The home had everything we needed: plenty of kitchen items/gadgets, towels, games, bedding, etc. I can't speak for the other beds, but the master bedroom upstairs had perhaps the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! May need to inquire about the brand because I think I need one in MY home. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. TVs in all the bedrooms/living room. The stairs leading up to the second floor are rather steep, but thankfully my knees/ankles haven't rebelled against me yet so it wasn't a problem. =)
All in all, it was a wonderful week in a beautiful place, and we would rent it again in a heartbeat!
Well stocked house in a prime location. We had everything we needed for our group that included 3 kids under 10 and our pup. We enjoyed daily walks on maintained trails, fishing in the river, roasting marshmallows and playing games (old school Pacman, Sorry, chess). We recommend buying groceries in Sunriver to cook at the house or eating at the Village Bar and Grill. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Beautiful view, close to activities:). Loved having kayaks to use:). Comfortable house that is well stocked:). Considerate property owners who try to listen to their guests and constantly work on property improvements.
Great relaxing family friendly vacation rental house
House was great, the kids loved exploring the yard/neighborhood, and the hot tub overlooking the Deschutes river was very relaxing (both in the evening and morning).
