Historic stay in Bergamo

Our holiday to Bergamo was fantastic. The accommodation at B&B Alba is an amazing 600 year old building, complete with a genuine Italian painting on the ceiling - you immediately felt the history around you. Our hosts were there to greet us upon our arrival and were very warm, helpful and friendly. The location is perfect and allowed us to explore the upper city with ease. The upper town is certainly the best place to stay and explore the old part of Bergamo. Thanks for a great stay!

Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet. Rommet var stort og luftig, det samme var badet. Veldig hyggelig og god frokost, og transport fra og til flyplassen sørget veldig hyggelige vert Alfonso for. Midt i koselige gamlebyen. Litt støy fra gata, men det må man nesten regne med så sentralt.

ottimo indirizzo a bergamo alta

posizione perfetta al centro della città alta, cordialità della titolare e rapporto qualità prezzo notevole sono le note positive .. le camere son spaziose e pulite anche se forse avrebbero bisogno di un piccolo restyling ( o almeno quella in cui ho soggiornato io .. la Donatello) ..

Location, location and no service

Perfect location. Could not be better. Nice large rooms. Bit of noice in the early mornings due to streetcleaning crews. Close to all the best restaurants and bars etc. Walking distance to buses and trains etc. Never so the service staff. Only talked on the phone. No one there to let us in at the arranged time. Still good value for money. Would recommend it.

Great place to stay

We had the double room with private bathroom. Large room overlooking internal courtyard. Alfonso the host, was very helpful and the Two ladies who provided breakfast also. Bed was a little old, but OK. Handshower in bathroom, needed a wall peg to make showering easier. Great location in heart of old town. Need to take a taxi from the station to this location. Alfonso drove us down as we left for E10 fee. Town is very busy with tourists during the day.

Perfect location and excellent service! Angela recommended a few great restaurants and the perfect spot to visit at Lake Como, and Alfonso served us a nice breakfast each morning. I would recommend the B&B without hesitation :)

Excellent location !!! We met several stafff and all spoke English. Very accomodating and helpful. They provided the transfers between the train station and B & B for a very reasonable coat. Will definitely return.

Glem hotellerne, vælg Alba B&B!

Skøn B&B lige midt i Citti Alta. Ganske få meter til restauranter, cafeer og butikker, charmerende værelse med stort privat badeværelse, rene håndklæder og daglig rengøring. Værten Alfonso og han hustru var intet mindre end fantastisk. Alfonso var særdeles imødekommende, klar til at køre os (mod betaling, forstås), lavede dejlig morgenmad til os hver dag, gav gode råd og var i det hele taget fantastiske at være gæster hos. Når vi var ude, kunne vi fange dem på whatsapp, og de svarede i løbet at et splitsekund. Kan kun anbefale denne B&B, hvis man skal have nogle dage i Citti Alta!

Kodikas b&b keskeisellä vanhaa kaupunkia

Olimme kolmen päivän minilomalla ja onneksemme olimme varanneet majoituksen vanhasta kaupungista. Sieltä oli helppoa tutustua nähtävyyksiin, nähtävää riittikin paljon. Olimme sopineet etukäteen hotellin kanssa kuljetuksesta ja paikan isäntä Alfonso oli meitä sovitusti vastassa lentokentällä. Vaikka meillä ei ollut hänen kanssaan yhteistä kieltä, niin se ei juuri haitannut. Positiivinen yllätys kaiken kaikkiaan!

Foi a primeira vez que nos hospedamos em um B&B e tivemos uma ótima experiência. O quarto era lindo, o local perfeito próximo aos pontos turísticos, e o mais importante que fomos maravilhosamente acolhidos e um café da manhã inesquecível (tudo muito bem preparado, fresquinho, caseiro ....) Amamos tudo! Recomendo fortemente.

Central to Old Town

Super location adjacent to the main street in the old town - somewhat quaint, particularly the entrance - shower facilities primitive (hand wand only, no wall attachment) - only Italian TV channels - very good breakfast - lots of fruit & veg - parking pass provided, but difficult to find a parking spot - a little difficult to find (need good satnav - many narrow one-way streets)

Well situated B&B in the centre of Bergamot Alta

This is a great guesthouse with friendly staff, great breakfasts ( like, loads!) , located ioff the Main Street of Bergamot Alta. It is about 10 minutes walk from the funicular station that brings you up from the lower town. They noticed, from her passport, that our second night there was my partner's birthday and presented us with a bottle of Cava to celebrate. I would recommend it for being homely, comfortable, but also stylish in a traditional/ 'cabaret' style.

we chose to stay in the historic old town of Bergamo on this occasion and we were not disappointed, centrally located with walking distance to plenty restaurants, cafe's and shops. historically lots to see and do but I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes as the old town has cobbled streets and very hilly. B&B was excellent with friendly staff and very accommodating. great trip...

Mitt i gamla stan. Pittoreskt!

Pittoreskt och precis i mitten av gamla stan Bergamo! Vi tog buss 1 från flygplatsen och hade fått ett så bra mail med info från Marco. Det gick lätt att hitta och ingen oro kring att någon skulle vara på plats! Alba är pittoreskt och det var så vi ville bo! Det fanns tre rum och det var familjär stämning. Vädret var varmt och soligt! En fläkt på rummet och stängda luckor gjorde det uthärdligt! Vi fick ett extra lakan, då vi bad om det. Svårt med ett gemensamt! Frukosten enkel, med rar flicka som serverade och vi fick en fin pratstund med det äldre tyska paret som vi delade frukostbord med. De tyckte att deras rum var bullrigt. Men vi hade sovit. Trots kyrkklockor och fågelsång! Vi fick ställa kvar bagaget dagen efter. Vi är helt nöjda med upplevelsen.
