The Space:
Silver Crest is a newly renovated cabin tucked away in the woods, a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of prep space, just off the kitchen is the dining area with seating for 10 and large great room perfect for entertaining or a family game night. Step outside to the wraparound deck to grill or relax in the hot tub. A great place for families or groups of friends!
The cabin includes:
- Large living area with wood-burning fireplace
- 4 spacious bedrooms (king, 2 queens, 2 sets of twin bunk beds)
- 2 bathrooms
- Fully stocked kitchen with all the comforts of home
- Baseboard heaters and window AC
- Large wraparound deck for grilling and relaxing
- Smart TV where you can quickly sign into your favorite streaming service
- WiFi for streaming movies and hold video calls
Outside you’ll find:
- Brand new hot tub!
- Deck & propane grill
- Miles of hiking trails!
Please note:
When you arrive, you’ll find 17 steps up to the entrance. It’s part of the charm—but good to know in advance for luggage or accessibility needs.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but given the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or other outdoor elements—especially during certain seasons. Nature has a way of leaving its mark, no matter how often we tidy up, and we appreciate your understanding.
Wi-Fi is provided, though service can occasionally be slower or spotty due to the remote mountain location. We recommend downloading any essential content in advance so you can fully relax and enjoy your stay.
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly.
The stove currently has only two working burners. We’re in the process of repairing or replacing it, and we appreciate your understanding in the meantime.
While the neighborhood community does have a pool, it is not available for use by Blue Maple guests. That said, we’re happy to recommend nearby swimming holes, parks, or local attractions if you’d like to cool off or enjoy some time by the water!

Beyond Coolfont, there’s plenty to do just a short drive away:
- Love the outdoors? Berkeley Springs State Park is home to a mineral spa that has been in use since colonial times. The park is renowned for its warm spring water, which flows at a constant temperature of 74.3 degrees. (5 min drive away)
- A little further away is Cacapon State Park a 6,000 + acre nature park great for hiking and exploring (about 20 minutes away)
- Looking for good restaurants & shopping? A short drive to Berkeley Springs Brewery, wineries, tea room, cafes, donut shop, art galleries - lots of local favorites
- In the summer, head out for a day of fishing, hiking, a round of golf, or get on the water – you’ll find a little something for everyone (about 20 mins away)
