Parkside Perch on Lake D'Arbonne

Enjoy an expansive view of the lake while perched above the waters of Lake D'Arbonne, just a stone's throw from the state park! With a large screened-in porch, multiple outdoor sitting areas, two-slip boathouse (with deck and fish-cleaning station), gas grill (propane tank), and wood-burning fireplace, this property has everything you need for an enjoyable retreat. There is a community boat ramp at the end of the road, making it the perfect destination for boaters and fishermen.

The house itself has two units (with separate entrances). The upstairs unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a large kitchen and living area. The downstairs unit has a small kitchen, bath, and a large living/sleeping area complete with a futon (full-size bed) and 3 twin beds. Both units have a television and DVD player. A backup generator services both upstairs and down, so you will never be without power! A tankless water heater ensures there is enough hot water for everyone. This spot is for people who want to get away from it all. There is no cable, but local broadcast channels are available via an antenna, as well as Roku streaming. Wifi (2G/5G) is available via HughesNet satellite internet which can sometimes be slow. A hotspot is recommended if fast internet service is crucial. Check-in time is 4 PM, and check-out time is 11 AM.

NOTE: The larger upstairs unit is only accessible via some stairs, possibly not accommodating for those with severe mobility issues.

Great get away for our last minute plans.

Easter Weekend

We were there for a weekend gathering at Lake D’Arbonne and really enjoyed our time at the house. It was perfect for what we needed and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. Everything was just as advertised. The beds were super comfortable and it was just like being at home. The view was amazing and can’t wait to go back when we can spend more time!

Get away from Atlanta

The lake house has all of comforts and necessities of a well maintained modern house. Wonderful setting to simply relax and unwind. Especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and bird watching. The humming bird darting around the Crepe Myrtle trees was an unexpected surprise.

Fantastic lake house

The house and dock were perfect for a weekend trip with friends from college. House was clean and had everything we needed. Power went out and generator kicked on a minute later. Plenty of hot water. Hosts were attentive and texted us to check in. Would definitely stay here again.

Spring break fishing trip

Overall we had a good time. The dock was great, and very peaceful! The property managers were very easy to work with as well. We did have internet issues each day, which was a bit of a pain. It didn’t start working until about 10:00 a.m. once it started to warm up. The property is in a rural area, so I’m sure it is difficult to get reliable service. The cleanliness of the property could have been better as well.

Lovely Lakehouse

The property was amazing! The sunrise over the lake through those beautiful picture frame windows was truly an experience you need to have to understand. Fishing steps away from a nice covered pier with a fully operational cleaning station, ample seating, lights and ceiling fans as well! Everything I have at home was available at the home if I forgot anything from a ziplock bag to a crock pot. My family enjoyed the stay so much we called to extend but it was already booked for the entire month! The property managers were just a text away and the listing was straight forward. We will be returning soon!

Spring Fishing Trip

We visited lake D'Arbonne to crappie fish and enjoy family on the lake. We absolutely loved the lake house. The open floor plan with the beautiful windows overlooking the lake was perfect. It was decorated beautifully and we loved the beautiful hard wood floors and the comfortable wrap around couch that everyone could relax on after a day on the lake. We also took full advantage of all the outdoor seating areas. Coffee on the screened in porch in the mornings, drinks on the decks when grilling, and every afternoon we finished the day on the dock that had a large gathering area with patio furniture where you could enjoy the sun or the shade. The dock was very close and easy to walk to so my 82 year old mother could easily join in the fun. There were two boat slips but we preferred trailering our boat to the ferral island road boat slip to fish on the other side of the lake where it was deeper for mid March fishing. Our best fishing was the day we hired a guide, Nick Young, from D'Arbonne Lake Guide Service. We caught very large crappie with Nick and came home with alot of fish. We hope to make it back to another relaxing lake vacation next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay at your beautiful lake home ! Tim & Cheryl from Illinois.

Family Christmas at the Lake!

This was our third stay at this house celebrating Family Christmas on the lake. The location is awesome and the sunrise over the lake is amazing. The new owners have leveled the driveway and added asphalt… “huge” addition! They have added an awesome sectional sofa and it was enough room for our entire family to sit at one time 😃 The house had everything we needed to prepare meals for 12+ people including Christmas dinner. The icemaker was on the blink, but wasn’t a problem as one of us was out and about on a regular basis AND upon arrival we had a 10 lb bag of sonic ice waiting for us in the freezer. Eight of us stayed in the house and with the additional living space/apartment downstairs it is very accommodating hence why we come back each year. It allows for at least four people to stay downstairs as well as a great getaway from the crowd. The tankless hot water heater was another huge addition. The wifi is a little slow, but you have to understand it’s the way it is in the area due to the location. The boathouse is an awesome place to have your coffee and watch the sunrise…. The new owners are awesome and extremely responsive. They sent a text on Christmas day wishing us a Merry Christmas and also prior to our arrival sent a text for “safe travels” and to let them know if there’s anything we need during our stay. We all highly recommend!

A Perfect Weekend Getaway

Nice Getaway for Fishing!

Found this place on line when planning a weekend fishing trip with friends. It did not disappoint! House was lovely, comfortable and well kept. Boat dock was nice and large to hold our boats as well as a covered area to sit and enjoy the scenic lake view. Good fishing area. Really enjoyed our time here.

Lovely home

We greatly enjoyed staying at this home, and plan to return to it again. The owner was wonderful with ensuring we had clear directions to the house, particularly once they realized we would be arriving after dark. It was perfect!
