Los Angeles Beverly Center Shopping Mall Hotels

"I loved my room and the amenities during my stay here, but I chose to rate the property 3 out of 5 stars because of my experience there as a person of color. I received a lot of negative interactions by both staff and guests, perceivably because of my skin tone. While other POC employees were very friendly, the intentional delays of service and derogatory comments (in both English and other languages they thought I wouldn’t understand) by white employees and fellow guests in the lobby and on the elevator would make me think think twice about choosing this venue if you are not white. Also, be wary of extra service charges added to the bill, whether you utilized room service or not. "

"It's in a revitalizing part of mid-Wilshire in Los Angeles. "Beverly Hills Adjacent" is more accurate. There are a lot of walkable restaurants and museums but the neighborhood isn't quite fully redeveloped, and there are a few homeless nearby that make it far from a Beverly Hills type of experience."

"The hotel is located in a good area and the rooms are very spacious. They include a kitchen, a king bed, a walk-in closet, and a terrace, which makes it a great option for a long stay. However, since my arrival I noticed that the staff at the reception have never been particularly friendly; in fact, they have often been quite impolite. The only exception was a gentleman who I believe works at the hotel restaurant — he was genuinely kind and very helpful. The worst part of my experience, though, was the smell in the room. I believe it was coming from the carpet. It was extremely strong and even got into my clothes. I know I’m not the only one who has experienced this because I’ve read similar comments from other guests. I don’t know if it’s due to the cleaning products they use or something else, but it was really unbearable."

"Perfect location. Rooms are super comfy & CLEAN. a stroll across the street to the grove & farmers market will have everything! Hotel restaurant is also a gem! Very good food & drinks at great prices. Definitely will be returning "

"Parking is crazy expensive. Not really any other options either. Forget street parking, at least for overnight. Besides that the place is maybe a little nicer than a typical motel. Although do have to compliment the bed linens were very comfortable. Walkable to the local nighlife. I guess thats what your paying for mostly."

"The gym is on the side of the building and I wouldn’t feel safe in there Bc anyone could sneak in. So it doesn’t feel safe enough with an exterior entrance. Even tho key is required "

"Room was dated, sheets / pillows poor condition. Fireplace didn’t work, toilet clogged, ac was dripping, neither the nightstand lights worked. We let the staff know and hopefully things get fixed. "
