Outdoor Adventure on Lake Independence

Enjoy the best of the UP at our cozy family Lakehouse on Lake Independence. Grill out and relax by the fire on our huge deck overlooking the water and the Huron Mountains. The lake is sand bottom and perfect for boating, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Big Bay is a snowmobiler’s dream with access to trails directly from the house. When the lake freezes over ice fishing and snowmobiling are a blast. Less than a mile from Lake Superior and convenience store, you’ll have everything you need!

Came to visit the area and colleges. The lake and dock were amazing, the kids swam for hours! House was clean and cozy, exactly what we needed after a long day of exploring. We’ll be back!

Perfect Big Group Stay
We had 8 guys stay for a snowmobile trip. The property owner was easy to communicate with, check in and check out was very easy. Property is setup perfect, clean, plenty of cooking space and utensils, very comfortable living space and the bunk room provided comfortable sleeping as well. Easy access and the owner gave very clear instructions to find the location. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains and close to the trail head. Will stay again!
