He said he wanted to pay cash for the tip, and they said no. They were seperate bills that the staff combined ...

The place was fine, had an unwelcoming sort of cold feel. The vending machines and ice were on different floors than we were at and one machine would not work. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the location was just across the parking lot from the hospital. The neighborhood was very unsafe and rough. I would not recommend going out at night or going to the convenience store next to the hotel.
