"Amazing cottage in a very sweet quiet town, the host was great at communicating and very lovely. Could not have had a better place to stay for our trip to Lancashire. 10/10 would recommend!"

"What a treat this place is. We had an amazing nights stay only sorry we didn’t book for longer. The den was beautiful well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen accessories were great. The surrounding area was beautiful and meeting and feeding the alpacas was a special experience. The hosts were extremely pleasant and made us feel at ease. Highly recommended."

"Mirk Cottage lived up to its description 100% and more.
It was beautifully converted, spotlessly clean, stylishly and comfortably decorated.
Everything was in immaculate condition and fully eqipped for long or short stays.
There was clear information on how to use utilities and helpful suggestions for restaurants, pubs etc in the surrounding area.
I would, without hesitation, recommend Mirk Cottage and altghough our stay was short, it was everything we could have wished for.

"Beautiful property. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was so cosy, clean & well looked after. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, they made us feel very at home and were very attentive throughout our time. Great location and a short 5 minute drive to Haworth. Highly recommend using this host and also their property. Thanks for a great stay "

"Superb hotel in wonderful location handy for local amenities. Did not use spa facilities which looked good.
Somewhat confusing concept - hotel had lovely frontage with outdoor seating area but bars etc were closed so not able enjoy snacks, drinks etc at the front.
Maybe the available facilities at the front were opened for weddings only.
Although a large significant hotel the only facilities available were a small bar/restaurant a good trek away at the rear in the golf area.
Outdoor seating with no views surrounded by golf buggy/trolley parking. Food was not impressive.
Overall impression was that unless golfers or event guests residents were a nuisance and although claiming to be dog friendly were merely accepting of dogs with uncomfortable coffee table type areas only available for dining.
Staff were polite but rarely friendly and rooms were not made up daily.
Enjoy your wedding or golf here certainly but otherwise a normal passing business trade venue at its best."
DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa
6/10 Okay
"Wonderful hotel in an interesting old building full of character and history, however the rooms desperately need air-conditioning installing because our sleep was very poor as the room was very hot, even with the windows open. Appreciate it may not be possible to install proper integrated a/c systems but at least one of those floor standing plug-in units in each room would make a big difference. Something needs doing to account for these modern hotter climates. Otherwise all good and breakfast was excellent."
"A very comfortable stay. Met all our needs. Shout out to helpful reception staff. Also front desk gentleman managing breakfast. Lovely manner, very responsive and multi tasking as needed to make sure everyone was looked after. Gentleman in charge of making sure breakfast foods were available, worked hard and efficiently too. Breakfast offer very good, bar good, room good. Easy car parking and access to Harrogate"
"Arrived at the hotel where there was plenty of on-site parking - a rare find in Leeds, and reasonably priced at £24 for the two nights.
Greeted by receptionist who was warm and welcoming. No fuss check-in and the upgrade we were offered pre-check in was all confirmed.
The room, as with everywhere else in the hotel was immaculately clean. If you can book, or get an upgrade to the superking rooms, do it. We did it via upgrade which also gained us 15% off food and drinks throughout our stay and a 13:00 checkout time. We also had breakfast included. The room was so spacious, the bed so comfy. The towels are so soft and fluffy, too!
The only downside at this hotel is, there is no air conditioning. Most of the time this won’t be a problem in the UK. It at temperatures in the high 20’s, the room did get warm.
Breakfast was great - the guy who treated us at the restaurant desk on both mornings was a real gem! We didn’t get his name. It’s a real chilled affair, plentiful in choice for a buffet and you can request your eggs any way you like. This is a good value for money for breakfast - whilst it may not be “the best” you’ve ever had, it is good and there’s plant of choice.
We will stay here again, if for nothing else, how clean and comfortable the room is and the friendliness of the staff overall."
"My single bed room was small but everything worked okay. TV, Hot water kettle, AC, mini fridge. My room was on the back side of the hotel so it was quiet. No street noise or train noise. Very quiet. Coffee, sugar cream and towels were restocked daily. Check in and out was easy. Nice large lobby with plenty of chairs and couches. Hotel is next to the Leeds Train Station. Very convenient."
"Our room needed a bit of an update but had a very clean comfortable bed.
The pressure in the shower was quite bad and only very small toiletries.
Loved the bar, and staff are lovely.
Would definitely stay again as the location is perfect. Thank you."
