The main letdown was the quality of the towels - thin and not very white. A/c good. Staff most helpful and recommended good restaurants nearby. Not bothered about the shops.

Stylish and top boutique hotel? That‘s it!

If you prefer a small boutique hotel to a well known big hotel complex as you‘ll find them all around the world, this is definitely a place you will like. Exceptionally friendly, helpful and forthcoming staff, perfect location just a 100 meters away from water-taxis to Valletta. Birgu is a great place to stay. I very rarely write reviews, but this place so much deserves it, I definitely recommend it, you won‘t be dissapointed! If you opt for the breakfast in the hotel, plan a bit more time, as everything is to be ordered from the menu, everything is freshly prepared, definitely try the specials, they are very delicious! You only might look for another place if you are using a wheelchair or have difficulties in climbing a few steps, as the hotels has some steps that you can‘t mind. Cool rooftop and pool area, stylish architecture, this boutique hotel is definitely a secret of Malta!

Exceptionally nice, outstanfing hospitality!

If you are more into small boutique hotels rather than staying at at one of the grand hotel complexes as you find them everywhere around the world, , the Bettina Palazzo is definitely a place you will feel comfortable. The rather small but truly stylish hotel is located just a few steps above the harbourg in beautiful Birgu, so getting to Valletta by water Taxi is just a question of a few minutes, the roof top pool is amazing, the staff exceptionally helpful, friendly and forthcoming. I rarely write reviews, but this one is so well deserved, staying at Bettina Palazzo will definitely help to make your stay in Malta as pleasant as possible. If you are having breakfast in the hotel, plan a bit more time as usual, as everything is ordered from a menu, so it might take a few minutes, but everything is freshly prepared and the specials on the menu are very delicious. Good to know that they still exist, those hidden small secrets! Book your stay here, you definitely won‘t regret it!

We had a fabulous stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who wants to visit the area and stay somewhere smaller, quieter with great customer service in quality surroundings. The staff are an asset to this hotel they are all friendly, welcoming and helpful, nothing is to much trouble. In particular Dora on reception was outstanding with her communication even before we arrived and once there was so helpful recommending places to eat and visit. Also a special mention goes to Niels who although very new to the hotel is a great asset with his friendly customer service (he will go far). They both made our stay an even more memorable one.

The most amazing hotel I've ever stayed in. Everything is absolutely perfect here. The building, the picturesque surroundings, the luxury, the breakfast...but I have to especially highlight the staff. I've never experienced such service anywhere else. Especially Dora. She's the friendliest staff member I've ever met. I'll definitely be back. Thanks for everything 🙏 Das tollste Hotel in dem ich je war. Hier stimmt wirklich alles. Das Gebäude, die malerische Umgebung, der Luxus, das Frühstück....aber ich muss hier im speziellen das Personal hervorheben. Solch einen Service habe ich noch nirgends erlebt. Besonders Dora. We have just arrived home after our lovely stay at IBB Hotel Palazzo Bettina, and wow - what a gorgeous hotel! The staff are a credit to the hotel and were always warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond for not only us, but other guests staying there. It is evident their service is of a very high standard, always greeting with a smile. The room we paid for was exactly as described, spacious enough for me and my partner, ample storage space and a lovely balcony overlooking the courtyard. The air conditioning within the room was amazing and fully adjustable to personal preference. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel itself is pristine, and our room was thoroughly cleaned each day. Fresh towels were given upon request (the hotel give instructions to leave the towels on the floor when you feel you need new ones) which is fantastic for sustainability. Our favourite part of this hotel, and why we chose it in the first place, was the amazing pool facilities. Located on the rooftop, the pool overlooks the harbour and is absolutely stunning! There were always plenty of sun loungers available for all guests, and the hotel kindly provided fresh towels on top of the loungers each day. Staff were always accessible should you want to order food or drinks to the pool, you simply placed your order on the phone beside the lift, and the staff brought this to you very promptly. Overall, a fantastic stay, highly recommended! Thank you so much!

The 17th century building is tastefully renovated and the location is great for strolling thru the old town and harbor. The personnel is sincere, helpful and friendly, making the stay most enjoyable and relaxing.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I am a very frequent traveller and have been for many years with work and personal travel. I have high expectations and these are rarely met but my time at the hotel was fantastic. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The pool and view is stunning. I will definitely go back

I had originally booked a different hotel, but changed to this one and wow did I strike lucky! Everything was wonderful, from the location in beautiful Birgu, the room, the staff, the breakfast, the rooftop pool and the kindness and attention that was extended to everyone who stayed here. I would especially mention Alberto, Dora and Roma who are all an absolute delight, and despite the fact I only stayed for four nights it still felt I had become part of their family.

We were treated very very well from the moment of our arrival . Offered a coffee and hold our things until room was ready . Room was big, bed comfortable and a fridge ! Free coffee and water. It was my wife’s birthday and they put music and a cake so she could blow a candle also free prosecco and a card for her!! We could use the swimming pool and towels until time to go . Amazing stay ! We will be back !

Väldigt fint hotell och mycket nöjd med rummet. Trevlig personal. Däremot är det förfärligt när man vistas tre nätter på ett hotell och varmvatten saknas. Fick duscha hos en vän. Ändå tas betalt för en chokladbit från minibaren när man checkar ut. Det är dålig kundvård, men som sagt fint hotell i övrigt.

Birgu is a great location. At times, a bit tourist heavy. Staff at hotel top notch. I loved my room with balcony that overlooked Senglea and waterfront. Will stay again.
