The property sits on the Great Salt Pond/Harbor. The view from our room and many others is beautiful. The restaurant and pubs are pricey like the rest of Block Island but they all offer great service and comfort. This hotel is worth the cost.

The location is great! The room was very spacious we had a deck with Adirondack chairs outside of our room looking out to New Harbor. The pool, kayaks, paddle boards and bikes are all great to have access to use when wanted. We ate at the pool the food was really good. Mudslides and music at the end of the dock is always a good time. Lastly having the shuttle helps with getting into town and back as well. I highly recommend staying at Champlins!

The shuttle people were extremely friendly and helpful. It was so nice to enjoy all the amenities the resort offered. The pool was advertised as heated, but we found it a bit cold. I think the mudslides were mediocre, not enough alcohol. The girls in the coffee shop very accommodating and pleasant. Overall we loved it and look forward to returning next year.

Nice property adjacent to the “salt pond” for watersports. Large pool. Main lodging is off ferry landing with a separate building up the hill. Kayaks and bikes are available at no charge. Complimentary Hotel jitney takes you to Old Harbor for dining, shopping and motorbikes. The Landing is a restaurant on the property. Dinner, drinks and snacks are available for purchase. The dinner we had there was very good. A little shop on the pier also sells a limited menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Enjoyed my two night stay, but not much going on when it rains.

The staff was great! The general manager is so conscientious. The shuttle service is amazing. It is free! They circle back immediately after each run so you never wait long for a ride. Our driver, Ray, was the best! Beautiful well stocked bar sits on the water. There is a cafe so you can order your food, get a drink and sit at the picnic tables enjoying the beautiful view of the water.

Came in for a couple days before the season started and had a blast. Such friendly staff and the room was recently renovated and beautiful. Definitely the place to stay.
