The room and all the amenities were awesome! The pool looks great, even though we didn't take advantage of it. We really enjoyed relaxing in the sitting area outside the restaurant while the sun was setting. Just an overall great place to rest, relax and take a break from a busy life.

Property is located by Lake Monroe within a state park and provides many activity options. Beautiful view. It is a pleasant drive during the day, however, be carful to drive on the road at night. The room key lock system needs to be upated and can be temperamental at times.

Love this hidden gem of a place…walk out by the lake with your morning coffee and less than 30 min to IU to visit campus. Clean, nice staff and affordable. I really love my stays there !

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina for a yoga retreat and was very impressed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The beautiful setting on Lake Monroe made it a perfect place to relax and get away from everyday responsibilities. I especially enjoyed our pontoon ride on the lake! I had always wanted to visit Fourwinds, and it did not disappoint. I would definitely return!

The staff at the restaurant, front desk, and housekeeping were so incredibly nice and helpful as I was moving my son into college. The grounds are stunning with a wonderful feeling of relaxation. I can’t wait to stay there again.

We had forgot some food items for our daughter in the refrigerator. We called in and the staff brought it down to the front desk and had it ready for us to pickup when we came back through several Hoya later. Very thankful!

Room could really use some touch ups, but it is an older hotel. It was mostly clean, tho there was some garbage behind the nightstand that had been there for a while. The rest of the property was great! Love the pool and restaurants overlooking the lake. Pool itself was very clean and I really like that you could swim into the sun or stay inside.

I was leary because it was so inexpensive but thrilled when my 12 year old son and I checked in. The property is beautiful and everyone is so nice. We ended up staying another extra night. We will be back and definitely rent a boat.

We enjoyed our visit to Fourwinds. I specifically came for the pool and was not disappointed. I Iike to do deep water exercise in the sunshine and it is hard to find a deep outdoor pool. The pool is medium sized but has a 6ft deep area perfect for treading- no lap swim space. The pool area was clean and nicely landscaped. The amazing retractable roof remains open until October depending on the weather - the pool then remains open as an indoor pool. very nice. Room 240 where we stayed looked newly renovated. This basic room had two comfortable double beds. The room was very clean and quiet. The park view was of forest and road.

The property is a little dated in decor, but the grounds are beautiful and well kept. I stayed on a Tuesday and the restaurants were only open on weekends...which is understandable for the time of year. I was glad the gate person told me the only restaurant open was the golf club and to head over there. I arrived an hour and 20 min before check-in and was told the early check in fee was $68. I have never had anyone charge an early check in fee if the room was ready, and this felt very off putting. If it was high season, totally understandable, but there was not a single person in site. The young lady at the counter was very unwelcoming, no smile even when I told her how happy I was to be there after hours of driving. I have to say this kind of ruined the experience for me. The same person checked me out the next morning and was a bit more friendly, and I was able to sit by the pool even after check out.

Serious need of updating. Also, shampoo/body wash bottles were empty just as the milk and half & half at breakfast were empty. It was lovely being on the lake and the pool was nice, but the accommodations need help.

Had to change rooms because the air conditioner didn’t work. Didn’t get the room I had reserved. Only had Continental breakfast on weekdays but very nice hot breakfast on weekends you pay for.

We booked through Expedia and thought we were getting a room with a balcony and garden view, instead we ended up with no balcony and a parking lot view. We asked the front desk and they said all balcony rooms were reserved. The Fourwinds Beach was not as shown in the Expedia pictures. There were no beach lounge chairs as in the Expedia pictures. The breakfast buffet was okay, I liked it but it was nothing special. I did really like the Wind Jammer Grille the service was great, and the food was really good. We had mozzarella sticks, fish tacos, fries, battered fish and onion rings. I would go back if I knew I could get a balcony. It was a relaxing weekend sitting out on the patio by the Wind Jammer Grille, people watching and seeing the boats coming in and out of the marina.

Excellent place for visit with the family. Wonderful view of the lake and many options with a good restaurant and pool into the park. Excellent for long stay.
