This is a cozy 3 level cabin nestled in the woods. It is well stocked, clean and full of things to do. Tv s on all 3 levels, a pool table, fireplace and hot tub. A great to place to have fun and relax. It is an easy 15-20 minute drive to Blue Ridge. We would definaltely stay there again.

Nice quiet cabin and very cozy. The pool table and the hot tub were the highlight of our stay. Like that there was one bedroom on each floor. I definitely would visit this location again.

Nice location, close to town and many activities such as river tubing, kyaking and just swimming on the river. The cabin itself needs better TV cable as it was horrible and much bigger or 1 more trash can outside to hold the trash because with 4 adults and 2 children you make more trash than that 1 trash can will hold after staying for a full week.

Overall this property is perfect for a relaxing getaway. It felt so homey and comfortable. The loft space is bigger than it appears in the listing, which was perfect for my husband and I being newlyweds. The property is well stocked with essentials like hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, dish soap and kitchen supplies, which was a nice perk. The road access to the cabin is a little tricky being a one lane, gravel road, but we learned how to navigate it pretty quickly. The neighbors at the end of the driveway are very friendly and are a good source for recommendations for fun things to do in the area. My only critique would be that the outside garbage cans were full upon our arrival, so it was hard to take the garbage out during our stay.

Super close to McCaysville, which is an undiscovered gem. Easy drive to Blue Ridge and the best Apple Farm anywhere.
House was clean and well furnished. Everything worked great. We enjoyed the hot tub alot. 3 full baths was so nice; one on every level. WIFI was amazing with boosters everywhere.

Our stay was very nice. Cabin was clean and tucked into the woods so very private. Our only negative was TV in downstairs bedroom (where kids stayed) wasn't working and we were promised a new one Friday evening and when we left on Tuesday morning we still hadn't got a new one. Kids had to use a laptop.

We received information that our cabin rental had unforeseen issues, which caused us to relocate our stay. We chose Sugar Maple because of its remote location, and privacy. This trip was for my husbands birthday, and we got exactly what we were looking for out of it. Best of all, our dogs were able to be with us. Other than some leaves at the bottom of the hot tub, the cabin was clean, the internet just fast enough for my husband to play his Xbox, and roomy enough for our 2 medium sized dogs.

Check-out is at 10 am. I asked if they offer a late checkout and they said would see if it was available, they texted me back saying it was available and I could select it in the app, and when I went to see they were charging me almost 40 for the late checkout. I never saw this in my life. The bathtub in the loft bathroom was clogged so the water kept coming up when we were showering (disgusting). The Hot tub outside wasn't at the right temperature so we could use it just in the next day, it showed 104F but it wasn't that, the water wasn't that hot. The basement has no heater, so it was impossible to stay there. They had a portable mini heater but didn't work out.

The home is beautiful and the surrounding area is quiet. We saw several deer while on the deck overlooking the forest. I would stay here agin. It is very close to town and only an 18-20 minute ride to Blue Ridge.
The downside are the directions to the home and not too many signs to point the way. GPS sucks and will get you lost. I would recommend signs for the home at the top of the roadway where you must turn and at the bottom to know to turn sharp to the right at the bottom of the hill onto the road/drive..
Also this property is not motorcycle friendly, it is mostly a gravel road leading up a steep gravel drive with hairpin turns. To say it wasnt easy not dropping our bikes is an understatement. Otherwise if you are in a small sedan or large truck you should be able to travel the road and drive with ease.
If needing an Uber (we had an amazing driver btw) there is only one that services the area, so you will need to plan ahead by a couple of hours so he can be available.
Again I would highly recommend this property and stay here again.

I took my son and his friends for a quick getaway. I will say that the cabin was immaculate. The boys loved the hot tub and the pool table.
I have rented many cabins and with Vacasa, and I have to say, there were no little “special touches and “that one usually sees when renting a cabin. Communication with the host was also difficult. The kitchen is “sort of” stocked – we wanted to make brownies, but there isn’t even a baking pan or measuring cups. The sheets felt like 50 count — no one is asking for Egyptian thread, but they were so scratchy. The pillows are so old that they have no form. There wasn’t even paper and a pen to write anything on, no throw blanket in the living room, etc. These are things you don’t expect in a hotel – but over the years, they have always been at cabins that we have rented and it always makes everything more special. (Even since Covid)…
To end on a good note, the beds were comfortable and the water pressure in the showers was great. The grill was clean and we enjoyed using it. The boys went zip lining, which they loved and overall, it was a nice getaway – but a little TLC would probably go along way in this place.

The porches were not clean with cobwebs and inches of dust all over them that clearly had not seen a broom in months the chairs were covered as well. Yes it is spring and all the bushs and trees are pollinating and it has been somewhat dry but it was obvious that no one had tried to clean at it just a little. The trash can outside was full of garbage that had not been carried off from what I'd guess was several renters. The floors and inside stairs had not been swept or mopped. The TV in the main living area was unhooked from the dish reciever and I spent about45 minutes trying to figure out what needed to be done to get that TV working in the living area so we could relax and unwind. The TV in the bed room on the main level has no remote so watching TV in bed was out. The cover over the hot tub was nasty. It has never in its life been washed off or brushed off it seemed. There were no chlorine tablets in the floater in the hot tub and we wouldnt even think about getting in it. Over all the maintenance and housekeeping is very disappointing. The comforters on the bed were nasty and we had concerns of the cleanliness of the sheets and towels. We were looking for 4 star accommodations and ended up with staying in no star accommodations with a 5 star price once you factor in the add on fees. I would highly recommend if you are considering VACASA you look at one of the other cabin rental agencies in the area. When calling to speak to someone about the issues we were having the young lady?? Who answered was clearly occupied by something else and acted as if she had other important things to do than deal with the issues we were having.

The cabin was clean and tidy overall (1 bath was not clean, and a channel changer missing in 1 bedroom), great location and view. Enjoyed nearby towns and family time. Would definitely stay again.

Was very peaceful and quiet. Loved going out on the deck and hearing the water running from the near by creek. Bed was very comfortable! Lots of things to see not far from the cabin. We enjoyed our stay very much. Will definitely be back in the future.

This property was sweet and simple. It was a breeze to get into once we got there. I will say the address we used was not accurate so I would go by the written instructions on how to get there that are provided in your email. The cabin was super comfortable and had a lot of nice touches like actually good TV service and internet. The hot tub was also very nice and not trashed. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to return for another relaxing weekend or maybe even longer if we can get more time off! Thank you for such a great stay!

This cabin was cute. It wasn’t our favorite that we’ve stayed in but still nice. It’s a little bit of a tight squeeze for more than 3 people.

Overall the cabin was great plenty of room and amenities. It was super close to downtown McCaysvilles. My only complaints where the upstairs shower fixtures need to be replaced because we couldn’t get it to work. However it wasn’t a big deal since we had two more bathrooms also a outside grill would be nice. With all that being said it’s still an awesome cabin for the price.
