Perfect fall break getaway

Large and cozy lake house that feels like a home

The house on the lake did not feel like a rental, it was as comfortable as being at home. My teens enjoyed the downstairs space with 4 beds, a small kitchen and access to the hot tub. My husband and I loved fishing and kayaking on the lake. We can't wait to go back.

Awesome Experience

This is an amazing location and the lift to the lake was the highlight of this place. Our teenagers enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the lake. Everything in the house was perfect and we did enjoy a movie in the media room. Truly wonderful experience.

Great home - rain or shine

There's plenty to do at Bungalow Blue. We enjoyed grilling, hiking, firepit, fishing, and of course swimming off the dock when the sun was shining. During the occasional thundershower, we cooked, played cornhole & board games, wifi/ streaming, and napped. We can't wait to return!

Wonderful stay at Bungalow Blue

We (family of 8) had a wonderful Thanksgiving stay at this gorgeous lake house. The house was the perfect amount of space for 5 adults and 3 teenagers, with ample room to spread out or to hang out together. The kitchen was very well stocked, even for cooking a Thanksgiving feast. The wood-burning fireplace was a great treat to have for the cold weather and the "tram" down to the dock and lakeside was a definite hit! We loved Bungalow Blue and look forward to visiting again.

Roller Coaster loving Grandkids

The tram "roller coaster" down to the lake was super cool. Plenty of room for everyone! It was very nice to have enough - towels and wash cloths, paper towels, toilet paper, soap for dishes, dishwasher, and laundry, and trash bags. There was salt and pepper, coffee filters.

Summer Lake Trip

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. I loved the basement set up for the children. The kitchen had everything we could have needed - plenty of pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, etc. The tram was fun for the kids and certainly easier than taking a bunch of stairs down while carrying things. The driveway to the house could be sketchy (one lane) if you ran into another vehicle but we never had issues. We would definitely stay here again.

Fun Family Getaway

We booked this trip with another family for a laid back vacation with lake access. It was everything we hoped for and more. We spent lots of time on the water, taking advantage of the kayaks, floating pad, life jackets, etc. The tram down to the lake was especially nice… much better than having a ton of stairs to climb after a day of swimming. The house was very cozy and nicely decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The game room downstairs has a second full fridge that was very handy. The house is conveniently located about 20 minutes from downtown and Walmart. Be advised that about 10 minutes of that is on a single lane gravel road. This was our 2nd time to rent a Vacasa property in Blue Ridge and it didn’t disappoint. There was one issue with the property, but the Vacasa team was quick to send out a repair man to make it right. We will definitely be recommending this property to friends and family!

Great weekend with famlly

This house is very big and can easily sleep 10. Getting there is very easy. House has 2 bedrooms upstairs with king beds and adjoining bathroom with nice b8g walk in shower. King bedroom and bath on first floor 5hat comes with a built-in beday. Basement if you want to call it that has another room with 4 single beds and Foosball table and DVD player. Flat-screen TV sets in every room and large Flat-screen in den. Hot tub was very clean and nice large washer dryer in basement. The house requires that you ride a incline lift up and down a very steep hill to and from the boat dock. No steps only a incline only 1 passenger at a time. The boat double boat dock is very nice with all your kayaks and life jackets included. To me lake front is kinda questionable but it definitely has a great lake views. I'm very picky and hat to stay away from my house but I would recommend this place for a nice Blue Ridge getaway.

This was the perfect spot for a girls weekend! We loved the house, and the deck by the water was fabulous. The lift down to the water was fun, but know that it will add a good bit of time to get your entire party up and down! Only wish we could have had more time!

Great get away

We had a group of 7 and we had plenty of room for everyone for a March trip. The weather wasn’t cooperating but that didn’t mess up our stay. Played ping pong, built a fire in the fire pit and some relaxed in the hot tub. We also had a nice walk into the woods from the house. Lots to explore! It’s a narrow drive into the property but peaceful setting. We would like to go back again in the summer months to enjoy the lake next time.

Girls Trip

This house was a wonderful place for our girls trip! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed sitting around the table and talking and sitting on the dock by the lake. The beds were comfortable and accommodating for the 6 of us. It was very quiet and beautiful in this location, but because it is so remote the road getting to the house is definitely more of a trail, so I would recommend keeping that in mind when choosing your transportation. We also were unaware that access to the lake was only by a tram that is on the property, but it worked out perfectly fine and there were no issues with it. Not a problem for six adult women and was actually a fun adventure.

Lake House

The master bathroom and bedroom on main had carpenter ant infestation. The boat ramp was very dirty with spider webs all over. The bed mattress were not comfortable - everyone complained about this in all rooms. Grills are all old and rusted. Other than that, good vacation option to chill in.

Great getaway

Had a fabulous time. The home was beautiful. We really love the lift down to the dock. Everything was really really nice. Only issue was that the handles on two bathrooms and one bedroom didn’t work and people got stuck in the rooms. Otherwise it was fantastic. We had a lovely lovely time.
