"I love the themed room with the mid-century furniture and the log pole Pine bed and especially loved the massive Private back patio with outdoor furniture under the pines where my dogs and I spent quite a bit of time. With a beautiful short, hiking trail along a Creek bed that goes from the Property to downtown Idyllwild the strawberry Creek Inn was amazing and I will definitely be back."

"Nice hotel! The dive room was nice. The only bummer part was the early morning noise from the gardener blowing the leaves that woke us up. The view from the room was nice and especially at night with the lights in the trees were very pretty. I do wish they wouldn’t allow smoking at the pool in the areas. When you want to get away from the smoke from inside and then poolside you can’t due to people smoking so much."

"The property is very nice. Rooms big, clean, and updated. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool. We drove into San Diego every day. It’s close to a convenience market, pizza place and Mexican place where we purchased most meals. The staff was very responsive with requests."

"Check-in was extremely frustrating and took over 1 hr and 20 mins to get through the line, and it was clear others had been waiting even longer. What made it more difficult was seeing several employees at the desks not actively helping guests; some were on their phones or chatting, and even a manager appeared to be focused on tidying the desk area instead of assisting with the growing line. After finally checking in, I was directed to the concierge desk for a parking pass, which was unexpected. There, several employees were gathered and it was a forced review of the timeshare offerings and amenities, which I did not sign up for. By that point, my kids had been waiting nearly 2 hours after a long travel day, which made the experience especially frustrating. The room itself was comfortable and we did enjoy the pool areas. However, some of the policies and operations felt inconvenient. For example, not being allowed to bring pool towels back to the room meant walking back in 65-degree, windy weather without staying warm. In addition, the market was closed, and it was difficult to get into the restaurant since it was the only dining option available. The TVs were also quite outdated and antiquated. There was no option to sign in to streaming services - including screencast - a basic expectation at all hotels for vacation and work travel. Overall, we did have a good vacation, but largely because we chose to spend most of our time off the resort. I won't recommend this hotel. "

"Keep your expectations in check and you’ll enjoy your stay. My room was a rustic cabin so I expected some rough edges. But, I was disappointed in the extension cords throughout the room (instead of proper electrical wiring), uncomfortable futon and rotted rear deck. However, the room was clean-ish and the staff were friendly. I don’t think that I’ll be back, though."
