Bologna Vacation

This was a fantastic condo. Great location close to historical sites and piazza’s. We were also able to visit a few other towns by train an site see Parma, Modana, Marinella. Paola was a wonderful host and gave us some great site seeing and restaurant suggestions. 5 Star!

Via Solferino perfection

We loved the comfortable, well-appointed flat and its proximity to the centre of Bologna. Everything was in walking distance, with restaurants and shops nearby. We were greeted by our hosts and appreciated their concern that we should be at ease during our holiday.

Beautiful Apartment and Comfortable Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paola's apartment. The place was exactly what we had hoped for. The location was on a quiet street, but convenient for walking to the town square and also close to some very good restaurants (some of which we visited multiple times during our stay!) The apartment was extremely clean and had everything you could need (extra pillows, blankets, laundry soap, cooking spices, dishes, etc). It fit the 5 of us very comfortably. Paola was very easy to communicate with and helped us with any questions we had throughout the stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Stay!

Was an amazing apartment to rent and right in the center of everything. Only one flight of stairs to walk up. Great little restaurants and cafes right around the corner and a short walk to the city center and train station!

Enjoyed a 17 night stay at this excellently appointed property and couldn't be happier. The location was perfect, easy to get to everything, great local eateries in the same street in a quiet neighbourhood. The apartment was spacious, well furnished and extremely clean. Our hosts Paola and Kenneth were very accommodating and easily contactable. We highly recommend this property.

Perfection

It surpassed our expectations in what it had to offer and its location to the historic centre. Paola and Ken gave us such a warm welcome and could not have been more helpul. Arriving late Saturday evening Anita, daughter of nearby local Trebbi restaurant owner took pity on us and set up an extra table in their extremely busy and delightful family restaurant. Overall we had a wonderful two week stay in Bologna band would highly recommend the apartment. We felt lucky to have found it.

Perfect spot to discover Bologna

Paola and her husband were responsive and friendly hosts. The apartment is warm and tastefully decorated. The air conditioning works well, which is important in this new era of climate changes! Best location to discover Bologna - it is easy to walk to all the historic sites and about 20 minutes to the train station by bus. I would chose it again and definitely recommend it to my friends.

This was the best apartment! We loved having a relaxing place so close to the square! 3 bedrooms all with comfortable beds. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything was decorated so pretty and very clean! Very hard to get parking, so I would avoid having a car next time!

Three of us stayed in this lovely apartment with three well-sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms and we all were pleased with how modern, well furnished (washing machine a God’s send) and in good condition it was.The location is just south of the main piazza on a very quiet residential street, but still within the ring road and accessible and convenient to everything the city has to offer.The owners were incredibly friendly and responsive to all of our questions. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great Neighbourhood

After a two year delay because of the pandemic, we weren’t disappointed. The apartment was easy to find and was very well presented. The hosts were helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

Delightful apartment in central Bologna

Everything in the apartment is as advertised, and Paola is very friendly, welcoming, and professional. Communication before, during, and after our stay was easy and fast, and useful. The place was spotless, well-located, and well-appointed. We did not lack anything and spent a comfortable week exploring in and around Bologna. The location is central, and you can easily walk to restaurants, shops, bars, and tourist sights. Look forward to a return visit.

Fantastic Property!

We spent 10 days at Paola’s place and couldn’t have been happier. The apartment was spotless, roomy and a great kitchen with everything we needed to cook and have meals in. I had not stayed in this particular neighborhood before and really loved it. Lots of restaurants, grocery store close by and bus stop and taxi stand just a few blocks away. All of that but still a real neighborhood non touristy feel to it. The apartment was a great place to come back to after a day of sight seeing. Three bedrooms and two baths so plenty of space. Paola was always available to ask questions and had some great suggestions for us. Apartment is in the first floor so only one flight of stairs for anyone concerned about not having an elevator it was not a problem for us. I would highly recommend this apartment!

Terrific location!

We were comfortable in this apartment and really liked the 'real neighborhood' location. However it was very expensive with the additional 120 euros on top of the advertised rental price (in the small print but not expected when we confirmed our booking) for a third person given it is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. There was nothing to welcome us, but lots of (reasonable rules), no maps or guides or advice for local buses or restaurants. It was fine overall but we would not go back. When we picked up our luggage having arranged to leave it (tidy in one corner) for the last morning the cleaners were not pleasant leaving a bad feeling overall.

Fabulous

We are a mature couple with two friends who joined us for our 45 night stay in Bologna. The friends moved out over easter so we could have a brief visit from family with two grandsons. The apartment worked really well, with the two boys in the small third bedroom. Having two bathrooms was excellent. The location was perfect for us, an easy walk to Piazza Maggiore and just about anywhere in the historic centre or the gardens outside. The walk to the station is easy, but we tended to catch the bus to the station for our train excursions , which were wonderful. Paola and Ken are perfect hosts and responded quickly to any issue we may have had. We had a lot of dinners in house as two of our group love shopping at the fresh food markets and cooking up something special. The kitchen worked well. Highly recommend this comfortable, nicely appointed apartment. Annette & others

Wonderful Stay in Beautiful Apartment

This has been one of our best and most enjoyable travel experiences largely due to our stay in this beautiful apartment. We were two couples who stayed here for a week in early October. Location was excellent – on a quiet, residential street only a ten-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore. Food shopping and cafes were just around the corner. The apartment is spacious, immaculate, tastefully renovated and decorated, and very comfortable. The two full bathrooms were a great plus. We enjoyed cooking several meals in the well-equipped kitchen and very much appreciated that even basic condiments were provided. We looked forward to coming “home” after a busy day of touring and slept well on the comfortable mattresses. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Paola has thought of everything and was extremely responsive to all our questions prior to and during our stay. Both she and Ken were warm and generous and shared their knowledge as well as a box of delicious pastries to welcome us. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting this beautiful city. If we return to Bologna, we would love to stay here again.

Bologna Summer 2023

The hosts of this property could not have been more accommodating. They made themselves available to me the entire time I stayed They were there to welcome me and made the check out process very easy. If I had questions about the apartment, the city, places to run and walk, restaurants, etc. they had answers and responded right away. The property itself is in a wonderful neighborhood. It is well kept and well appointed. The only recommendation I have is a minor one. I would suggest upgrading the living room furniture so that it is a bit more comfortable. I only think this is an issue if you have an extended stay as I did (two months). The current furniture is fine, just something to consider for the future. All of historic Bologna is at your feet when you walk out the door. I felt safe and secure both in the apartment and in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this property and Paola and Kenneth.

The Best Bologna Rental!

We were traveling throughout Italy during June and July and stayed in several VRBO properties but I must say Paola's rental was our favorite! I can give a breakdown: * Great location. Everything worth visiting (museums, restaurants, shopping etc.) were within a 10 to 15 minute scenic walk * Very quiet inside the rooms even when the streets directly outside were busy * EXTREMELY Clean and smelled great * Two spacious bedrooms with king sized beds (or you can ask for the beds to be broken down to twin size) with a smaller, cozy, third bedroom with a twin bed * Great air conditioning in all the bedrooms and living room * Two full bathrooms with good water pressure in both showers and if you've forgotten soap or shampoo, there's a cupboard in one bathroom that has many extra toiletries * A washing machine (very easy to use) and laundry soap is supplied! * Kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, breakfast bar which seats 3 people and all the cooking supplies you could possibly need (olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, several varieties of tea, ground coffee) plus Paola was so considerate and put bottled water in the refrigerator and also supplied a nice loaf of bread with some apricot jam * Separate dining area with a table that seats 6 people * A sitting area with a small, comfortable sofa, two armchairs and a flat screen TV The apartment has one thing that was missing in all our other rentals: Ambient lighting The lighting in this rental gave the apartment a nice glow at night. Some of our other VRBO rentals had overly bright, eye singeing lights! Paola is a wonderful host and will write down her recommendations for day trips, restaurants and sightseeing in Bologna. Another great thing about Bologna is that it is a 40+ minute train ride to Florence and approximately 70 minutes to Venice. From this location and depending on traffic, the train station is a quick 10 to 15 minute cab ride (about $10 euros) or a 45 to 60 minute walk. There are also plenty of buses running but we never rode them. I highly recommend this VRBO rental and can hardly wait to return. I just hope it doesn't become too popular and impossible to book!
