This is a unique hotel. Much thought has gone into the decor: very modern in a bohemian way. Our room was quite attractive and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. The location is ideal for exploring the historic center of Bologna. The only thing lacking is breakfast. While there are several excellent spots for pastries and coffee nearby, it’s difficult to find other options.

Exceptional stay in a beautiful space.

What an incredible and memorable stay at Casa Conoscenti in Bologna. The most unique accommodations we've ever experienced by far. Lots of space, wonderfully comfortable, and exceptionally beautiful. How amazing to spend the night in such a dramatic and romantic space--highly recommend the Galleria room. Thanks to Margurite for assisting with check-in! We loved it and would 100% recommend.

We booked this property because it had high reviews. Only after we were in country did we realize that there was actually no staff on premises and that this is actually a suite of rooms. They are sparsely appointed but clean. It is an interesting situation as there is a front desk but it is only staffed intermittently. This property is actually less than what you would get with an Airbnb as there is no kitchen. There is also no restaurant. The property owns a restaurant next-door, but there is no restaurant in the traditional sense that you could go down and grab breakfast or a burger. You must leave your suite of rooms to go to the restaurant. The check-in process was very cumbersome multiple codes. The property felt deserted. We were traveling to attend a concert and we had our family. My mother was planning to stay with our children while we went to the concert, but we ended up actually telling the property that we did not feel comfortable with the arrangements. We did not end up staying. I had to communicate all of this via WhatsApp text. I have actually never even spoken to anyone at the hotel. It’s very sad because online it appears to be a lovely property, but really what you were doing is renting a room without any additional amenities. The property has also been unwilling to give me any refunds or work with me in anyway. I believe that they are falsely represented in their advertisement. You can get much more for your money in Bologna do not stay here.

Very disappointing. Our family arrived at 7:30 pm only to realize we were not staying in a hotel but a very strange situation. The place was extremely dark, no staff, no running water in common area, no refrigerator, no way to warm food, no TV, no phone. The “place” and I say place because it isn’t a hotel or a guest house was not as advertised. We left the “place “ to check into a lovely hotel nearby. We tried to communicate our situation and displeasure to the places contact via text with no satisfaction. This was not what was represented on the Hotel.com site. Very disappointing.
