Great value for money

We had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Rothkopf. The rooms had everything needed, the beds were comfortable and the room was tidy. It is nothing special, but the value for money is extremely good. Especially with the breakfast which had plenty of choice and freshly baked eggs! Also the location is good; it is a walkable distance to the city center with some nice restaurants. The location is also great for a visit to Phantasialand!

Lovely friendly bilingual staff and very good breakfast. Room clean but very dated (1970s) and quite austere (only one pillow!). Bedroom has glass sliding door onto shared terrace instead of window which doesn't feel very safe.

Fitted our needs.

Check in was easy as completed on line. Our room (22) was like going back to the 80’s but was clean, fully functional and quite big. Brekkie offering was plentiful, selection of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts, breads, preserves, dried and fresh fruit, tea, coffee, selection of doughnuts also the option of eggs and crispy bacon cooked to order. Weather permitting, you can take brekkie in a nice little courtyard. Hotel is 15 min walk to train station, journey to Cologne Central took 38 mins. Happy with choice, value, courtesy of staff and would stay again.

2 overnachtingen met 8 volwassenen. Kamers normale grote maar een zeer kleine douche! Alles zeer netjes met heel schoon beddengoed. Bedden erg laag bij de grond ( als je thuis boxspring gewend bent!) Ontbijt ook prima, alles wat je nodig hebt 's morgens. Ligging ca. 10 minuten lopen naar centrum. Vriendelijk personeel. Het hotel is gedateerd, modernisering gewenst. Maar voor weekend of enkele dagen was dat voor ons geen probleem.

Restaurangdelen har goda schnitzlar och ovanligt bra äggröra, som de tillagar direkt när man begär det vid frukosten. Äggröran har alltså inte legat och torkat.

Das Hotel ist zwar schon etwas älter, aber im Verhältnis zum Preis ein hervorragendes Hotel. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und das Essen im Restaurant hervorragend.

Hotelzimmer sind sauber, Personal sehr freundlich, doch die Inneneinrichtung ist merklich in die Jahre gekommen und teilweise doch schon sehr abgewohnt. Für eine Nacht, so wie bei uns aber vollkommen ausreichend, zumal ein kleiner Parkplatz auf dem Innenhof zur Verfügung steht und das Stadtzentrum fußläuferisch schnell zu erreichen ist.
