"The stay was good"

"When arrived at the lodge the parking lots was dirty, went to the registration room and there was a sign saying "closed please call this number", had to call 4 times before someone answered. Was shown a room and the person from the registration office looked in the bathroom and said sorry, not this room. i will show you another one. When the door to the room was opened the room smelled of smoke and mold (there was a sign showing no smoking in the rooms). The room was nothing like the pictures shown on the web site. I would not recommend this place to anyone. When we told people we meet in Renfrew about the mess of this place, they had told us the place was supposed to be closed few years ago. Definitely should be taken off the list of hotels to recommend."

"The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice touch. We were able to hear other guests in their rooms quite clearly, but other than that the inn was a comfortable stay. "

"Rooms are very clean. Beautiful view from the living room. Quiet and friendly neighbourhood. Great wifi & internet. A portable induction stove is available. A full size cooking stove/oven would be nice."

"We enjoyed our stay, the location is nice, and there is a large beach area. I don’t normally like to leave reviews but I was disappointed with many things about the cottage itself. It is in need of repair. None of the interior doors would stay closed and the beds were uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The sofa bed was broken and uncomfortable (which was noted in a comment a few years ago and not dealt with). By the end of our stay a cupboard door was hanging on one hinge. Also make sure to bring extra paper towels and toilet tissue as we ran out after our first day. Of note, there is only one empty water jug there, not two as was advertised. It would have been nice to have a full jug of water when we arrived so that we didn’t have to go back to town as soon as we arrived to get water. "
