This elk frames Appalachia in the sense of this small town pride in the mountains. Excellent property with a amazing view

Clean and comfortable. Very private. Pool table and hot tub were a bonus we loved. Will be staying again next year!

Would not recommend.

We had unfortunate issues with the property cleanliness including the sheets not being changed. We were able to speak with the property manager and they did deliver clean sheets and bed blankets (that evening) for us to change and make the beds. The downstairs seemed cleaned enough... I do typically like for kitchen to be very clean. Upstairs bedrooms also fine, but when the sheets are not changed, it sets a precedent that the rest of the home was not thoroughly cleaned. They also told us we could not check in early due to the property being cleaned the whole day…and then also told us that we could not have a late check out due to the house being cleaned. Interesting given that the sheets and bed linens/coverlets/blankets were not cleaned and/or changed. We made the best of the trip. View is wonderful and very nice that there were porches.
