We had our third annual family/friends ski trip and we had a blast! The house was great and a perfect location. It was so easy for to drop skiers off and pick them up at the top of Beech mountain. The basement was a great area for the kids to hang out in. We loved having enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our crew. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
Our family and friends were in town for my daughters wedding. The home was clean and had everything we needed. I have a VRBO, and I'm glad I "do the little things" even though ours isn't as nice as this one. Only having one washcloth and towel per guest, not having any shampoo or conditioner, not having any cotton balls or Q-tips and only two garbage bags for 12-15 people for a 4 night stay at the price being charged are small overall costs to incur when it comes to making things a good stay vs a great stay. The house is beautiful, clean and had enough space for all of us to really enjoy ourselves. We left 4 days before the hurricane, we got lucky and I hope this home wasn't damaged. One last thing, the two driveways are VERY steep and hard to get in and out of without 4 wheel drive EVEN IN THE SUMMER because it's gravel. Just be prepared for that. Again, overall a good stay and many beautiful memories.
Beautiful spacious home but beware that the rental company that manages the property are rude and not helpful. The rental company is near impossible to get in touch with and even when I asked for a direct number or email address they refuse to give it to me They put us in the house during an extremely cold period and the house could not provide basic life essentials such as heat, ability to cook or even take a hot shower. The propane tank was completely empty and the rental company never sent anyone out to help with the issue. We ended up leaving our vacation early due to it being 47 degrees inside the house. Now the rental company only wants to refund a portion of our money.
The house was perfect for our trip. Great quality throughout. Free standing ice maker was excellent. Televisions not very user friendly, would prefer satellite or cable. Property manager responded promptly to problem with access code on one door. Would definitely book this home again. Left a note for property manager to check function on two toilets, need new flappers.
Lovely stay with our large family. The beds were very comfy, loved the large kitchen and everything was well maintained. Hot tub was great and the views as everyone says, as phenomenal. A couple of things I didnt see in the reviews that I think would be helpful to note are the driveways are very intimidating. Once we got in them, it was fine to navigate in and out, but they are steep and I cannot imagine navigating those in the winter in a sedan type car without any 4-wheel drive! Overall awesome spot, would stay again if we were in the area.

First, this is a beautiful home with gorgeous views. We chose the property for lots of reasons, but mainly the fireplace. I was called the day before our trip and informed that the gas fireplace would not be working for our stay. The listing stated that the fireplace was wood burning, so that difference was disappointing. It was VERY cold during our stay and the lack of a fireplace really detracted from our overall experience. The other issue was the cleanliness of the home. When we arrived after the 4:00 check in, there was still trash at the home. So for the first 2 hours of our arrival, we dealt with maintenance removing trash. The floors were VERY dirty with visible crumbs, dirt and leaves. There was part of a cookie on the stairs. When we called about this, we were told where the vacuum was located. I’m not on vacation to vacuum, but I was so grossed out by the hair on the floor in the bathrooms that I tried the vacuum only to discover it not working. The rental company sent a cleaner back to the house, but I showed her that the vacuum was broken. It was decided a new one would be dropped off the next day. That night we discovered that 2 of the showers had also not been cleaned. Hair and residue of products on the shower walls. When I called about this I was told that I had turned the cleaning lady away (when she left bc the vacuum was not working) and they were busy and couldn’t send anyone back. I vacuumed, we didn’t use those showers, and we were refunded about 9%.

Hard work paid off!!!
I am writing this review in hopes the "Owner/s" will read it. We LOVED the house, however there were many issues that I feel the owner should know about. The mailbox was hit by someone prior to our arrival so we could not find the house, assuming the numbers were on the mailbox. The driveway had more than a foot of snow and was not accessible at all, the men in the group spent several hours shoveling it after having gone to Fred's to purchase a shovel and a kind neighbor allowing us to borrow one. It took 4 grown men about 3-4 hours of shoveling and we were finally able to get a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the driveway, which you couldn't even see at first. They were so exhausted and frustrated from having worked so hard that they no longer had the energy to go night time skiing. There were 2 full bags of trash left at the house, one outside and one downstairs in game room. We were not able to throw out the trash we accumulated at any time in the trash bins outside because they too were full and had not been emptied prior to our arrival. The pool table light did not work and made it very hard to play at night and that was a big selling point for us as we all love playing billiards. The toilet paper holders would just fall off the second you touched the toilet paper, and a towel bar came off when one of the guest hung her wet towel back over it to dry. Obviously drywall anchors are not being used but just merely screwed in to the drywall. You absolutely could not use the fireplace if it was windy as the smoke and ashes would blow back in and just smoke out the house, so the effort there was wasted, we were able to use it one night and it was very pleasant that night, husband is suggesting a different chimney cap. Several dishes were extremely dirty and looked as if they had just been put up without even washing them. We were aware that we would only be getting one toilet paper roll per bathroom, however some of the rolls had very little paper remaining and was not enough to sustain the stay. The beds were very comfy, overall the house was very clean and in spite of it all we still very much enjoyed our stay and loved the house, I just felt an honest review would be helpful to the owner/s so they are aware of the little things that to some would be a big deal. Feel free to contact me if you deem necessary. Heidi
I rented this property as the pictures looked wonderful and the 7 bedroom, 7 bathroom fit our family of 11 perfectly. The house completely exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped, rooms large, great for large families, the views could not be better, the rental company could not be more accommodating, answering emails within the hour of sending them. The only thing that could have been better was the weather. It was my daughters wedding and it rained all day Friday and Saturday. But it was beautiful and fun anyway! All in all, perfect weekend!
This property was certainly large enough for our crowd of 10 adults and full of mountain character. The view was beautiful. Large nice porches. Cute and fun spots at Beech Mountain and nearby Banner Elk. We were grateful that the house was not as remote as we were expecting. The owners were a joy to deal with, but getting a membership at the club was unnecessarily tedious, but worth it for the golf discounts. The course is beautiful.
Rooms were large and clean. Be sure to pack additional paper items and kitchen trash bags. We could not find a can opener and the coffee pot was hard to figure out. There was a Keurig also, so that helped. We would definitely rent again.
Our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed everything about this house. All the rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was awesome (as was the ice maker in the laundry room), the pool table and hot tub were great as well. And the views were the best! We have already talked about renting the same house again in the future!
The house was absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views. Deer were on the property. House was in the mountains. Hosts were very good at communication with any questions we had. Beds were so comfortable. We were welcomed with fresh flowers. A few suggestions would be to have a start up of coffee, filters, more garbage bags. A little tough to get on the internet but they took care of it. The hot tub didn't have much water in it so they came the next evening to fill it. Couldn't use it till the next day and we didn't have the time. We then needed to leave for the next part of our trip so that was disappointing. Overall, a great experience.
This house was perfect for us and our friends during our wedding weekend. It was in a perfect location to walk on Beech Mountain and only 10 min from our venue. We had a beautiful dinner one night out on the deck with the amazing view. It was a dream!
This place was amazing!!! Plenty of room for my family while we were in town for our family reunion. Convenient to many things on the mountain and Banner Elk. We had to check in late due to the cleaning crew still working on the property. We found two burnt marijuana cigarettes on the deck and was unhappy having to explain to the 12 year old that found them what they were. Probably an oversight by the cleaning crew. We enjoyed this beautiful home and will try and stay here in the future.
The house was amazing. Better than the pictures. We had an issue with the dishwasher, management responded to me right away and kept in touch even after it was fixed. I highly recommend for large groups, plenty of space.

Great stay
Great house for a stay up on the mountain. Had 3 families and the room layout was great. Bring your 4wd as the driveways are a battle but overall wonderful house with wonderful views. Many thanks!
