Great location!

Great cabin in a great location; lovely wooded mountain central to Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue ridge Parkway hikes, and Grandfather mountain. We really enjoyed our stay and so did our dog!

Scenic and secluded

This was the perfect place for me, my mother, my nephew, and my dog to spend a few days. Close to everything, clean, and surrounded by nature. What more could I ask for?

Wonderful week in the clouds

We all enjoyed our time in this beautiful cabin for the week we stayed. It's close to skiing, shopping and dining and very quiet and relaxing after fun filled adventures. We will definitely be back.

My family of four came for a visit to Grandfather Mountain. The cabin was absolutely perfect. It was clean and cozy, but had very thoughtful amenities and great decor. We were very impressed and appreciated all that the owners did to make the stay easy and enjoyable.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for a week away in the mountains! We brought our 3 kids and 2 dogs, and had the best time. The cabin was beautiful, had everything we needed and more (even a fenced-in dog area!), and felt secluded and private. We’d definitely opt to stay here again!!

A family-friendly gem

Those was a great place to stay with young kids. Thoughtfully laid out and appointed for kid-friendliness, and the hot tub and two fireplaces made it very special for ask of us. It felt both relaxed and luxurious, even with little ones. We loved it!

Beautiful cabin!

Cabin was beautifully appointed located with a pretty view. Loved both fireplaces and hot tub after a long hiking day. Disappointed in the cheap coffee maker and wine bottle opener, etc. Would think it would have had been better than the local hotel. I will definitely recommend this place and location.

Great house

This house was exactly as described. It was secluded and very nice. We took our dog and they had a fenced in area for him to run. The house was super clean and we loved the outdoor fireplace. We stay here again.

Perfect for us

This property was perfect for us. We needed a main floor suite. The hot tub was great. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and appliances in great condition. Comfortable beds and peace and quiet.

Wonderful house! Very convenient location.

The house was great. Only about 5 miles from downtown Boone. Isolated. Check in was the easiest EVER in 50 years of staying in cabins. These guys have it together.

Wonderful Time

The cabin was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. It checked all our boxes; location, fenced-in area for the dogs, king bed on main floor, hot tub and covered deck with outside fireplace. We visited Grandfather Mountain, Moses H. Cone Memorial Park, Julian Price Park, Linn Cove Viaduct, Beech Mountain, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and the Mast Store in Valle Cruis. We will definitely return.

Backwoods Paradise

This property is excellent for those who want to get away from it all. We lived on the back deck, surrounded by nature, alternating between soaking in the hot tub and relaxing in the Adirondack chairs, while in the glow of the outside wood-burning fireplace. Aside from an encounter of the ursine kind on the first day (black bear in the trash cans), our stay was wonderful.

Peaceful retreat

It’s tucked away perfectly between Blowing Rock and Boone! If you have trouble seeing at night, I do recommend stocking up on groceries and taking advantage of the outside grill. The road in and out as basically one lane and no lights after dark.

Great Mountain Get-Away

We couldn't have been happier to pick this gem in the woods. It has everything you could want. The hot tub and outside fireplace were great. We had even brought our fur-baby and they were super accommodating! If you're looking for a quiet weekend away, I 100% recommend this property. The snow wasn't a bad touch either! :)

Renovating solitude and quietness

This is a beautiful and cozy cabin which is perfect to spend time away with your partner. We enjoyed a cold day watching the mountains and reading in front of the chimney . Next day we had warmer and sunny weather and took a wonderful hike with our puppy on Bass Lake and the Maze trail, a few miles away.

Better than expected

We found ‘A Walk in the Clouds’ to be better than expected. It was clean, comfortable, and secluded. It had everything we needed and wanted. A view of Grandfather Mountain and the changing colors accented our visit. There was good communication with the owners/managers. We recommend it.

AMAZING Cabin!

My husband, myself and our pups had an absolutely phenomenal stay at this amazing cabin. The cabin was spotless, well appointed, and perfect for relaxing over the holidays. We especially loved the fireplace on the deck and the claw-foot bathtub in the master. The dog run was perfect for us too. The only (very minor) challenge we had was that we were supposed to check in at 4PM but the cabin was still being cleaned when we got there at 430 and was not ready until 530, so we just ran into town to pick up groceries while we waiting. All in all this is a lovely cabin and we will definitely be back!
