"I was in town on business, solo traveler. The VRBO page shows a different neighborhood. I grew up here so I know the neighborhoods well. I picked it because it showed the house in a decent neighborhood. When I got the address, the day before checking in, I realized it was nowhere near the location advertised. That could be VRBO’s fault. It’s located on a very sketchy neighborhood, with homeless sleeping across and up the street. Next door is a lot with an old building and abandoned RVs. The back...

"Really beautiful property. The kitchen is incredible. The amenities are perfect. The views are absolutely stellar. Property manager Wendy is helpful, responsive and very nice. Only two suggestions. Upstairs analog/digital hybrid shower is complex and needs instructions. I figured it out eventually. And would have loved it if the outdoor hot tub was working. Still, minor blips in an otherwise perfect getaway. Will be back! "

Top Boonville Hotel Reviews

Gualala Country Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Becky the manager made a great dinner recommendation at the Vue Kitchen across the street with great confidence and she was right. Good food and service. Upon request, she also gave me a complimentary upgrade to the King room on the first floor. Great view, and quiet. Didn't really hear people on top of me on Floor 2. Wasn't sure I knew how to turn on the heater, like which buttons to press but eventually I managed to get it to warm up the room a bit"

The Orchard Hotel Ukiah Mendocino County

8/10 Good

"The young lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and clean. The hot tub was good. It was a bit of a walk, but nothing bad. My only complaint would be the location: right next to a creepy-looking mortuary."

Quality Inn Ukiah

10/10 Excellent

"This was a nice place to stay, and given the current economy they do pretty well, the sheets are clean and crisp, the TV worked, and their Continental breakfast actually included hot scrambled eggs and sausages and a mini pancake maker! Cereal and milk, two kinds of juices, and coffee. The table area is tiny but they out big effort to see to the amenities for their guests! The only two thing I wasn't crazy about was their pool, while clean and inviting, is rather small and situated across the parking lot, but that is just the logistics of the property site. The other dislike cannot be helped by the inn, there were homeless people camped across the street, which made walking to the store a little uncomfortable. But all in all, I will stay there again, because their service and provisions are made in erenst effort and are good enough for a pleasant stay. Very friendly staff makes a great difference. Thank you!"

Rendezvous Mendocino

10/10 Excellent

"A perfect birthday getaway My partner and I stayed two nights for a birthday getaway, and it was exactly what we needed. We were in the Sea Urchin room, which had adorable decor and a bottle of red wine waiting for us on arrival, a thoughtful touch that made us feel welcome right away. The whole place has such a calm, peaceful atmosphere that I felt genuinely relaxed and reset by the end of our stay. The homemade breakfast was a highlight. We enjoyed fresh buttermilk biscuits and lemon blueberry poppyseed scones, and the hosts even surprised us with a special cookie treat to celebrate his birthday. Little gestures like that made the trip feel truly special. If you’re looking for a cozy, restful spot to celebrate an occasion or just unwind, I’d highly recommend this B&B. We’d love to come back!"

Point Arena Lighthouse

10/10 Excellent

"This was an absolutely wonderful stay. The room was cozy and clean. The view ( keepers room) was stunning, even from the bed! The fireplace put out plenty of heat. I actually never saw any hosts. Used the self check in and left at end of my stay. The lighthouse museum and tower tour were well worth it and informative. I enjoyed walking all the trails and views. I would gladly stay there again."
