Best place!
My friend and I stayed here for four nights.
The guest house is nice, clean and meets needs all the basic needs. No extravagant luxury, however what makes this place truly amazing is:
- We were welcomed by the friendly hosts and had the feeling of being their private guests in their own home. Airport pick up was pre-arranged by email and we was met at the arrival by our driver, absolutely trouble-free (USD 68/ 3 hrs)
- The garden is stunning and perfect for relaxing while listening to the ocean. We had a massage in the garden, which can truly be recommended (USD 35 / 90 min).
- A private beach in front of the house, which was the best beach we visited in Sri Lanka, with almost no other tourists.
- Breakfast is fine and served in the garden, with a front row view to the ocean.
- We had a private tuktuk and used the service for three days (USD 20-30/day). The drivers English is poor, but his kindness and smile makes up for it. Further his knowledge of the local area is priceless.
- Next door is a small hostel/restaurant with the best food!! Better than any of the fancy restaurants.
If you are looking for a less tourist Ed place, with amazing location and friendly hosts - this is the place!!
To compare this was the cheapest and lowest rated place we stayed during our holiday in Sri Lanka. Despite power cuts twice a day, this was the best place!! My warmest recommendations.
