This home was perfect. CLEAN. Close to restaurants and shopping. The view was perfect and private waterfront created hours of exploration and relaxation without leaving the property.

The perfect Maine coast getaway!
We loved this little cottage. Situated in a beautiful little bay, the water access is great and the views are gorgeous. It's conveniently close to Boothbay Harbor, but feels worlds away from the traffic/tourists.

Sweet cottage overlooking Linekin Bay
The view is fabulous in this sweet little cottage. We loved looking out over the water watching the tide, birds, boats and ocean life. My husband and I had a lovely time for 4 days. A great place for a couple or very small family. The hiking, biking, local food and the beauty of the Boothbay Harbor are wonderful. If you like to cook, bring supplies, kitchen is minimally stocked.

Cute, very rustic cabin
We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the beach house. The owners did their best to make it comfortable and clean. Our dog had a great time on the beach and property. We loved sitting outside to watch the ospreys, sea ducks, and their babies. The night stars are extraordinary. Be aware this is a 1920s home so there are rickety floors, walls, and deck. It appears they have made improvements for comfort thus far. The price is quite steep with all the Vacasa fees for what we got. We expected more for the price.
however, communication with Vacasa (the property manager) is terrible. We tried to contact them 2 times for questions that we had and 1 time to report a leak coming from the upstairs shower and never got any response. The house is adorable and the view from the house is fantastic, however because of the property manager, I wouldn't stay here again.

Very Rustic - Don't be charmed by the description
The description of the property is very misleading. We knew from the pictures that this would be "rustic", but didn't know how rustic until we arrived. There is no insulation in the walls and even though it was summer, it was an unusually cold day so it was very cold and damp inside. There was mold in multiple locations in the house and the "beach" is actually rocks covered in seaweed, so not usable. It also says you can sleep 6 people, which I would find very cramped. Also, most of the window screens had holes in them letting bugs in.
The location was very nice. It was a quiet road and had the weather been nicer, the view is nice. But again, beware of the description - this home is more like a cabin/camp. For the price we paid, I did not expect it to be that way. I know others love this type of property. It just wasn't for us.
Our biggest issue was the with the management company. Due to the mold, we asked to be relocated and were given a hard time with multiple excuses. So if you have an issue, just be aware that you will need to deal with a company that doesn't have customer service as they #1 concern.
Great View and Location but a bit lacking in other ways
It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance.
The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a "wipe-your-feet" mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat up the larger spaces. Do heat a bedroom with door closed. Since there is no washer or dryer it is difficult to dry any clothing that gets wet in the rain or is washed by hand. I had to wash one bath towel by hand and it took 3 days to dry. Some clothing I hung very near the stationary heater and still took 2 days to dry. The house had been cleaned but only in main areas: Kitchen and bathroom and wood floors. Lower shelves, exposed wooden areas etc were very dusty and/or full of old spider webs, droppings, dead insects etc. There was nothing available to clean those spaces but paper towels.
There was no entry instructions sheet posted nor notes for the house. When the breaker tripped as we tried to use the third heater for warmth we were able to find it and restore power but it was not marked. As many of the electrical outlets appear to be just on one circuit that should be noted. The shower is very difficult to regulate water temperature.
We had a lovely stay in this pretty well equipped cottage. Excellent location in this beautiful part of Maine. Great views and very comfortable.

perfect
It was perfect for our family of four. Small and quaint. The view was beautiful!!
We love the cabin but were disappointed since our last visit. The double bed fell to the ground when I sat on it. Upon further investigation we found no slates under it. My husband put it back on the bedframe. Thede was a window with no glass and just plastic staped to it. Also the screen door had a hole in it that was there the last time we were there. 4 yrs ago. There were TONS of ants on the second floor.
The cabin was clean when we entered and we loved the cabin life. The toaster was broken but maintenance delivered one immediately. The coffee pot was old and made terrible coffee. It, too, was same one 4 yrs ago which did work well then.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Very peaceful pretty view of the water. The wood burning stove was not working properly, we tried many times with different wood. Without heat in the cabin, it was pretty chilly at night. The space heater was helpful, but the circuit breaker could only handle it and nothing else requiring electric at the same time!

Adorable cottage!
We loved this adorable cottage and amazing bay views. It was cozy and clean, away from the bustle of town but close enough to get to anything we wanted to do. The nights were chilly, but there are plenty of space heaters which helped keep us warm. The only complaint was that the mattresses were quite uncomfortable - newer, softer mattresses would make this a total 5 star stay.

Amazing place
We loved this house! The view, all the little knick knacks and vintage pieces placed around the house, it had a great vibe. Only two things detracted from our stay: the quilts and pillows need to be replaced due to stains and the smoke alarms need to be looked at. They started BLARING at 1230am for no apparent reason (we didn’t have a fire going at any point, so it wasn’t that) and they’re all wired together throughout the house so they were all going off and there was no way to shut them off. Thankfully, they stopped after a few minutes but then the same thing happened at 630am which jarred us awake again. Other than that, amazing house and we’d definitely stay there again.
Very clean and cozy. Loved the atmosphere and all the cute cottage decor. At low tide you can go down to the shore and enjoy the sandy/rocky shore. A quick 5 minute drive to downtown was perfect for us. Close yet private. There were kayaks under the deck that we would have liked to use but they were locked up. It’s smaller than it looks online but definitely sufficient. We were 3 adults and a toddler and it worked for us. Would stay here again soon.
This home is rustic and more of a really comfy cabin than a house but it was perfect for us and our two teens. The water view and access if wonderful. It really had everything we needed. I would recommend replacing the metal deck table and chairs which were really unsightly and the broken chair was a hazard. Be aware that there is no privacy between the rooms or the bathroom. Every sound is heard loud and clear but its fine for a couple or family with kids.
