Senior Trip for my daughter

We came to Boothbay Maine for my daughters senior trip and had an amazing g time. The cottage was so comfortable and we never wanted for anything g. It had such character and charm. Everything we needed was there and it was so very peaceful and quiet.

Cute cottage

This cute cottage is out of the way of the hubbub of town but close enough to enjoy. House is old so floors aren’t even and stairs are narrow but that adds to the experience!! They have definitely thought of all the things you need and supplies then. The lobster trap out back was fun with lots of games and cool place to hang out.

Very dated, floors uneven, felt cramped with three people, not for the elderly, couch in living room was like sitting on a rock! Overall it was clean but won’t stay again…sorry just trying to be truthful! Master bedroom bed was very comfortable but watch out on the stairs and DUCK at bottom so you don’t bang your head?spiders in showers!

Celebration of Life , Needed room for 4 family members with quiet areas !!

The house was , very clean , fantastic little reading areas , tons of board games , The new- bar Garage will be fantastic for Teens to hang out or guests to enjoy sporting events, very nice Fire Pit area too. Your able to walk to Barrett Park as all cars are cautious to walkers , . For us the upstairs shower worked , but could be an issue for people with mobility issue. The garbage cans are an issue, I suggest metal cans , sadly the grass wasn't cut , over a ft tall !! I hoping it was a memorial Weekend miscommunication, we could use the yard as much as we liked because of time of year for ticks Over all I would definitely come back , Very Special Maine Cape, Beautifully Decorated, House is stocked with everything you need, Tons of snuggly blankets !! Best Bean Bag Chairs every !! My score 99 /100

Cute place in a good location

We enjoyed the cottage in this location - which was close to town, restaurants and a park. The Botanical Gardens are just a short drive away and we enjoyed that one day, and then the Harbor Cruises are great! We took one that included pulling a lobster trap. Great narrator on the boat. Very interesting and beautiful cruise. The restaurant we enjoyed most was the Tugboat Inn. The staff was amazing, the food was delicious and the drinks were great. The best spot we dined while there. The cottage has everything you need in the kitchen, and the largest bedroom upstairs was very comfy (that was where I slept!). The furniture downstairs was comfortable as well. We did have a few glitches with our stay, and one was the trash as noted by a previous guest. We contacted Vacasa and the Rubbish company was there the following day but i think the issue was that the previous guests did not follow the instruction to leave the trash bags in the trash cans out back. The other issue that didn't really bother us but would have really bothered a friend of ours (or anyone with allergies) who decided not come is the mustiness/smell in the house, which was mild, but in the other two buildings it was strong. The other two buildings were adorable, one is a library and one is a game room. Both of these were musty - which I am sure is because they are closed up and there has been a lot of rain this summer. As for walking to town, the road is EXTREMELY curvy and hilly and we did not feel safe walking on the road due to fast traffic and no sidewalks or shoulder on the road. The house is very old, and quaint, but we enjoyed our time there. Decor is very cute. If you are old like me, be careful if you sit in the very comfy big bean bags!! I needed a lift from my friends to get up!! haha!! All in all, we had a great time!

Was super charming! Cottage is in a quiet neighborhood and was easy walking distance to the nearby Barrett Park and town of Boothbay Harbor. Feels like you're staying in something historical. Very clean and extremely well supplied on everything!

Enjoyable stay in very clean and tidy charming house! We loved our walk to Barrett Park along the water, shopping downtown at fun convenient shops, dining at three good restaurants. (Port of Italy, McSeasgull, and Blue Moon for breakfast. The Library and game room were there if we needed them, but were content to sit on the Library porch and read, listening to the birds.Loved being close to the water!Thank you from us all! Looking forward to a return visit.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming cottage. Lots of character and attention to details. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We went to Barrett's Park every day. It's about a 12 minute walk from the cottage but since it's pretty hilly we drove. Our boys our 10 and 13 and they caught hermit crabs during low tide and swam during high tide. So glad this home was available during our family vacation! Hope to be back one day.

Adorable but not for elderly guests

Thi cottage was adorable, very clean and well-equipped. It was great for me and my 12 year old, but not the best for my elderly parents with bedrooms and the bathroom upstairs.

This is a very charming cottage with a lot of character and great location. We especially appreciated all the tips on restaurants and things to do. It’s on the trolley route and close to the foot bridge. Cons include the tiny bathroom (this would not be a good property for people of size. There is a tiny RV type shower. My husband and I and our 3 young kids were fine for 3 nights but wouldn’t want to stay longer). This is also not a kitchen you’d want to cook in. No dishwasher (which was advertised) and not a lot of counter space. This was fine for us as we ate out for lunches and dinners and just had simple breakfast items there so it worked well. The floors and ceilings are all slanted and wouldn’t be good for those with mobility issues. It was fine for us but would want others aware of that. This is also not a lounging type house if you’re looking for a property to lounge around on comfy furniture, etc. There isn’t space for that. We did appreciate the blankets though and homey touches. Overall, this is a great place for a small, young family that is close to everything but wouldn’t want to stay longer than 3 days. Lots of charm and character and fun to say you stayed at a cottage from the 1800’s. Also- I know it advertises sleeping 7 but I wouldn’t do more than 5 and no more than 3 adults as it’s very tiny. Kitchen and bath updates are needed but fine for a short, quick stay. There was also a nice outdoor fire pit (we didn’t have time to use it).

Very cute, not at all as it was explained

The house was very cute, convenient distance to town, and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The lamp in the room with the double bed had no chain and was off, so we had to move another lamp into that room for light. There was no place in the description that said the sun room was not insulated. I would highly recommend putting that as a disclaimer, especially in colder months, as we did not feel comfortable having our son sleep out there with temperature being low. The fireplace helped but not enough to be comfortable sleeping, and we had to have him sleep with us in the King. The advertisement made it seem like there was a double bed in addition to two trundle beds, so we were a little surprised by the sleeping arrangements. There is one King, one double trundle bed, and one twin trundle bed in the sun room. There was a note with a key saying that we had access to the reading shed and the garage lounge, but the note online said there was no access to the garage so it was very confusing. Also, the key worked for the reading shed but we were not able to access the garage. Maybe they didn't want us to have access because of the season and cold weather? Not a bad place and would have been much more lovely in the summer, especially now that we understand exactly what the sleeping arrangements were.

Cozy Lobster Cove Cottage

We loved the cozy feel of Lobster Cove Cottage. From the fully stocked kitchen to the snuggly blankets strategically placed throughout, we felt right at home. We had plenty of space for our family’s party of six. The beds were comfy, and the electric fireplace in the living room provided an extra level of warmth when we returned from our Gardens Aglow visit to the nearby Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. We also enjoyed venturing into the Lobster Library during the day and selected a few books to bring back to the inviting sunporch, where we read and napped in the sun while lounging in the oversized chair and daybed areas. There was a good assortment of board, card, and lawn games, and if it hadn’t rained, we would have taken advantage of the grill, firepit and Adirondack chairs. This 1800s cottage is comfortable and has plenty of room for families to spread out. It really felt like home to us during our stay.

Ladies weekend at this little slice of Heaven!

If you're looking for the perfect getaway look no further than this sweet cottage. The owners of this cozy cottage have thought of everything you'll need including an assortment of extra charging cords, blue tooth speakers that connect to your phone, & wifi and It is perfectly located to so much of Boothbay. We walked everywhere! We can't say enough about this sweet cottage and we can't wait for our next ladies weekend!
