“Small but cozy stay! It would be better if the lighting in the room was a little brighter. Or add some white light sources would make it better too! Thank you for the owner to make us a delicious breakfast! Even though we woke up late have missed the breakfast time!”

“We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here”

Auch die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr gemütlich und die Einrichtung bietet alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir haben hier den Jahreswechsel verbracht und hatten das Glück, an zwei Abenden Polarlichter sehen zu können - perfekt. Auch für Ausflüge ist die Lage ideal. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen, spacious design, and comfortable furniture! We didn't use the hot tub as we expected to but hit up the (sort of) nearby Krauma hot springs. “Skuli was a superb host. He communicated with us several days before our stay and walked us through every step of check-in. His daughter, Christelle, met us in Reykjavik and drove out, leading the way to their home. She was available to answer any questions about how to work the appliances, etc. She was very helpful. The beds were comfortable, the home was pleasant with a well-stocked kitchen, including spices. A big perk was having a washing machine/dryer in the home. Skuli even supplied……

“What a wonderful little cottage and great jumping of point for a number of places. The cottage was very cute, quite clean and Katrin was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!”

“Perfectly remote and cozy! I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy sleeping in but the land was calling to us. Terrific house manual sent ahead of booked stay takes all the guess work out of using the property. There are adjacent properties but separated by heavy vegetation. We slept very comfortably. I could see a small family enjoying this space too. The views of the mountains are super from the big windows and on the deck.”

“If you want solitude this is your place to escape all the machinations of our world. Property owner provides a plethora of things for you to do. You can grill outside on the deck, watch the stars or aurora, read a book inside the cozy cabin, play a deck of cards, cook almost anything in the fully stocked kitchen or just cozy up on the sofa or loft. Our only concern is the long 7km drive on the gravel road to reach the property. Can be a bit bumpy if you’re only used to smooth tarmacs. ……

“Erla's cozy red cottage was in the perfect place for us to get to after arriving early in Reykjavik. We were easily able to get to the things we wanted to see and do...Borgarnes and the Snefellsnes Penn. The house was spotless, the living area was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We so enjoyed the hot tub after a long day witnessing the magic of Iceland. We would have stayed longer if there had been more days available.”
