The Accommodation
The location right on Lake Pröbsting offers many possibilities: walks around the lake, bike rides, hiking, or simply relaxing in nature. At the same time, the surrounding area is ideal for excursions throughout the Münsterland region. For day trips, nearly the entire Ruhr region is within an hour’s drive.

The Seequartier Borken is located in the Hoxfeld district, right on the idyllic Lake Pröbsting—one of the most popular destinations in western Münsterland. The surrounding area combines nature, relaxation, and a wide range of recreational activities. A well-maintained loop trail around the lake is perfect for walks, jogging, or bike rides. During the warmer months, Pröbstingsee also offers opportunities for swimming, paddle boating, and relaxing on the sunbathing lawns. For families, there are several large playgrounds in the immediate vicinity, as well as the well-known climbing forest.

Other activities in the immediate vicinity of the apartment—most of which require a fee—include: mini-golf, archery, and many more. The nearby “Restaurant Borken am See” offers a lavish breakfast buffet on Sundays and holidays. (Reservations required). Seasonally, pizza or BBQ buffets are also offered here. Cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy here: The Münsterland region is known for its excellently developed network of bike paths, which winds through fields, forests, and small villages. Many beautiful tours can be started directly from the holiday rental. You can reach city centre Borken, with its shops, restaurants, and cafés, in just a few minutes by car or bike. Here you’ll find everything you need for daily life, as well as cosy places to eat and relax. Thanks to its quiet location in Hoxfeld, guests enjoy a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature while still having easy access to the rest of the region. This makes the Seequartier Borken the ideal starting point for relaxation, active holidays, and excursions in the Münsterland region.

Transparency is important to us: The entryway and the terrace are currently still undergoing final construction. Both areas are already usable, but some minor cosmetic work remains to be done. Of course, we will ensure that our guests are not disturbed by this.
