"The listing failed to state that an expensive cleaning fee would apply and we were advised of this by the hotel after the cancellation period had ended. This was challenged but the hotel continued to insist that it needed to be paid and that it was advised (despite it not being in the listing or the confirmation email). Hotels.com had to get involved via an escalated complaint. The check in experience was also poor as the keys were not in the lock safe. This was resolved. Despite this the...

"This is a nice place, the area was pretty and the cabin was nicely furnished but be aware that no soap, shampoo or dish soap is provided, the toilet room is also very small( like airplane or smaller) Also there is a $95 fee for bed linens as well as a cleaning fee and a deposit on top of what you already paid. "

"A lovely light filled apartment on the first floor in a really quiet area but just minutes from bars / restaurants & the main canal. Hans & Marnie kindly let us check in early & welcomed us on arrival. The apartment is beautifully presented & surpassed the pictures."

"When we arrived the place was very cold 14 degrees and a window was open. We turned up heat, closed window and went into town, returned 3 hrs later. After returning, apt warmed up to 17 when thermostat was set to 20. And also - a very pungent sewer smell was pervasive in apt. Guessing that is why window was open when we arrived? We left again to walk to Ahoy for tennis and returned 3 hrs later to an even worse smell and cold apartment. We left that night and went to a hotel. I did not...

"the room was clean and quiet. the design of the room was attractive.
the room was less expensive than some other options in the area and because of that i didn’t expect much so it’s ok that there was no fridge, no body lotion, no coffee machine or electric kettle. it was all very minimal.
i think all rooms are on the ground floor which some women traveling alone may not be comfortable with.
the location is ok if you just want to spend a night before a flight. it wouldn’t be a good option to visit amsterdam.
the shuttle needs improvement. it serves all three ibis hotels in this area and it was packed. very packed. very uncomfortable and a bit stressful with luggage and warnings about theft. it runs every 40 minutes. i think given the large number of people wanting to use the shuttle it should run more often at least every 30 minutes which would reduce the number of passengers per shuttle ride.
i don’t think i would use this hotel again because of the shuttle issue."
Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
8/10 Good
"Property was very nice, room was clean. However the phone in our room did not work so you had to go to reception. Pool was clean, not easy to get towels.
Also reception was always busy with a line. And if you sat out in the common area getting food service took a very long time. Some staff were short or unfriendly towards guests. Others very kind and accommodating."
"Location was emphasis for choosing this hotel. Had early flight and airport is confusing enough without running late. Only negative was it was not near any restaurants or night life, but those on site were sufficient. Would definitely stay again."
"If you want to stay outside the main rush of Amsterdam while keeping easy access to the city, this hotel is a really good option. It’s located in a quiet estate—which makes for lovely, peaceful walks in the summer—and is just a 15-minute walk to the nearest train station for a quick trip into the center.
The Room & Entertainment
Spacious & Spotless: Everything was perfectly clean, and the room had plenty of space. For a 2.5-star hotel, the room quality felt like so much more.
Comfy Bed: Features a comfortable double bed.
Great TV Setup: The TV is positioned perfectly for watching Netflix or YouTube in the evenings (though regular TV channels are limited).
Mini-Fridge: It’s empty upon arrival, but spacious enough to easily fit a 1.5L bottle on the side and a few other things.
The Bathroom
Very spacious with a nice walk-in shower. My only minor wish would be a slightly stronger water pressure, but it absolutely still did the job.
Amenities & Verdict
Note: The hotel does lack extra amenities like a gym or a pool; it’s pretty much just the rooms and the on-site restaurant.
That being said, for the excellent price we paid, we were incredibly impressed. If we find ourselves visiting Amsterdam again, we would definitely stay here again!"
"There are no full sidewalks (just segments) neither on property or the intersection towards the bus station/McDonalds.
Everything is exagratly expensive on site (2.50 euros a cup of hoat water, bar, etc...) but available (drinks, snacks, bar, restaurant, gift shop, etc). Room and room amenities are ok. Staff great. Shuttle bus forks on the schedule.
To go in town either take the shuttle to airport and jump on a train to Centraal Station, or, walk about 4-5 minutes to the large bus terminal and get on 397 bus to center. You can tap on and out on all transit. The cost is a surprise coming to your bank statement in a few days.
Overall it was a great 5-night stay."
