"This vrbo was such a blessing to us as we gathered with our children after they finished up their college semesters. Large enough to not be on top of each other and cozy enough to have fabulous fellowship, games, and puzzle time. Close to nearby attractions and hiking. Super pet friendly- my favorite part concerning pets was the gate to keep them secure on the beautiful wrap around porches and the dog bowls and toys available for use. Truly a pleasure to stay here with top-notch tea and coffee choices, plenty of dishes, pots, baking dishes, etc. The host was great with communication and even though I know a lot of renters come with their pets, I did not see a single dog hair from anyone else's pet. Hats off to their cleaning person."

"The breakfast was nice and the room was clean. The hotel is showing signs of aging (aren’t we all) but the location was quiet and we got a good night’s rest on our road trip. "

"We stayed in Garden Studio A and could not have been happier. It's a lovey, large room, well-appointed and with very comfortable beds. It's obvious the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into the rooms and the entire property, and they are great to chat with. We absolutely loved being able to step outside in the evenings and relax around the attractive gas fire. The little kitchen area and fridge gave us just enough space for evening snacks and drinks, and the grocery store was right down the road. It was very convenient to Lake Lure, and it was only about 25 scenic minutes to Tryon International Equestrian Center. We will absolutely stay here again! It really added a great deal to our trip."

"Our room smelled like pets. In particular it smelled like a dog kennel. I have allergies and it caused me to become very congested and made me sneeze a lot. There was a terribly loud and persistent noise coming from the thermostat and heat/cool unit in our room. It started up about every five minutes or so. Even after we turned it off it made loud noises like an industrial refrigerator. 👎"

"I usually don’t leave reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so bad I feel compelled to share it to warn other travelers. I previously worked in the hospitality industry and understand you get what you pay for. I don’t expect a five-star experience from a budget hotel - just the basics: a clean bed, a clean shower, WiFi, and a mini fridge. I’ve stayed in many cheap hotels that met these expectations. This one did not. This was the filthiest hotel I’ve ever seen. There were large dark brown and red stains/globs all over the walls. The floors had severe water damage and was uneven and cracked. There was visible mold on the wall next to the AC unit. The peephole was busted out and had a Kleenex stuffed inside. Long black hairs were all over the bathroom counter and shower. The toilet was clogged immediately upon check-in and clearly hadn’t been cleaned as there were urine stains on the lid and seat. The comforter was covered in stains as well. When I went downstairs to notify the front desk, the lady there went into another room and slammed the door so loud that the windows rattled. I waited for 5 minutes or longer and she never came out. There are plenty of decent, affordable hotels available. There is absolutely no excuse for the condition of this room, and I’m shocked this property is advertised on Expedia. Don’t let the pictures they advertise fool you as the rooms look nothing like what is advertised - avoid this hotel at all costs."

"Night staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. Towels & wash cloths appeared to be new or newer. Beds/pillows were comfortable. This is the best Country Inn & Suites that I've visited. Thank you!"
