The district’s scenic promenades are lined with quaint façades of medieval buildings overlooking canals. The centre of the Bourse zone, which is known for its financial institutions, is anchored by the Place d’Austerlitz. Spend a while in this square to get a sense of the local culture. Starting a little south of the historic centre of Strasbourg, the Bourse-Esplanade district stretches east toward the Bassin Vauban waterway. Ride a bus to one of the many stops in the area or take the tram to the Winston Churchill station. Across the canal lies the Neudorf district, while continuing east will take you to the German border.
