Gorgeous place so close to everything
December visit - After a long day of holiday travel from the US we had the warmest welcome from the home owner. She showed us the entire place and let us know what to do upon check out. She was very enthusiastic and even put up a Christmas tree for us. The house had all of the essentials and was very clean. We also really appreciated the off street parking with a driveway that is included in the rental, especially when it was pouring down rain!The best part of our stay was being so close to everything. The drive to the parking area for Mont St Michel is only a few minutes. The shuttle service runs constantly so you do not have to make the walk. But if you do, it’s a gorgeous walk. Also, if you have nice weather and wanted a longer walk you could walk the trails to the shuttle for MSM directly from the Gîte.We were also surprised how close we were to Saint Malo and Cancale! We spent a half day in Saint Malo and walked the wall, ate some amazing crepes by the ocean and shopped a bit. We then drove over to Cancale, that is very close by, and had the most amazing oysters after our walk of the town. Cancale is the oyster capital of Brittany! And let me tell you, they lived up to the expectations and more. The water is so gorgeous and it was a cloudy day when we were there. I can only imagine what it is like during a sunny clear sky day. Our stay was amazing! Le Petite Gîte du Mont was the perfect location for what we had planned to see and nice to come “home” to every day!
