The Alamo Village. Located on the old Happy Shanahan Ranch. This is the Village John Wayne built for his Movie 'The Alamo'. Different from the original Alamo in San Antonio. This one is a bit smaller and faces East. Taken at sunrise
John Wayne had this built on Happy Shanahan's Ranch just north of Bracketville TX. Replica of the Original Alamo. Only this one is facing East. So I was able to capture the early morning light. Our stay at Las Moras was great. It was very comfortable. We were in for a funeral so more business than pleasure. Towels and toiletries were provided. Kitchen had what we needed, heating and AC worked well. Beds were comfy and the wifi worked fine as well. This was our second stay and we will continue ...

We had no pets. There were no potholders but otherwise pretty well equipped kitchen. Disherwasher was inoperable but owners intend to replace it.
