River Mountain Lodge is in a perfect location--just across the river via a bridge from Main Street, and just across the street in the other direction from great trail heads for hiking. We've stayed here before in a different condo facing the river, and it's wonderful to sit on the deck and listen to the rush of the water--however, no fault of the owner--the section of the river below the condo was dry due to drought. My only complaint is that the cubby area housing the stove has no overhead light and the microwave light was not functioning, so I couldn't really see to cook anything or even read the settings on the coffee maker. Also, there's no shade on the diningroom window to the deck, and while for me that wasn't a problem, if someone were using the sofabed, it might not only be a privacy issue, but the sun shines directly in that window each moring. Otherwise, this is a beautiful condo in a perfect location in the complex (near the elevator, parking garage, exits, etc.), and I would definitely stay here again.
