The owner Jeff was so friendly and showed us how the player piano works in the sitting room, the rooms have been remodeled and the velvet wallpaper and antique furniture add to the charm of this historic hotel. The bedding was comfortable and we had a great night of sleep in the quiet town.

Really interesting historic hotel. The fact that it's a real relic from the gold rush days is kind of amazing. We got some great recommendations for things to do in the area from Jeff, the owner. Super appreciated the coffee bar. Found the place clean and a comfortable temperature despite the heat outside. Would definitely stay again or recommend to friends!

What a Gem of a hotel in the Eastern Sierra! We loved this unpretentious, very comfortable lodge. Recently remodeled, everything is super clean. Our Room (#1) overlooked Bridgeport's Main Street and the beautiful 1880 courthouse across the street. Main Street is also Hwy 395, but at night it's not busy. The Bodie Hotel is also an old building - it reminded us of a European B&B. Pro Tip: restaurants close early in Bridgeport, so plan your meals accordingly. So, if you're tired of motels, for about the same price try the Bodie Hotel instead. Highly recommended.

Unique, charming, historic room that had been upgraded with wifi. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. However, my husband and I did not like the split-level floor layout of our room. It made it a little treacherous to remember to step up from the bed and then to step up again to the bathroom. And, then to step back down. We were so concerned about tripping we had to keep a couple of lights on. As such we found it difficult to get a good night's rest.

The hotel is beautiful and the owners were fantastic. Jeff was so kind and helpful with information and even safely stored our bikes overnight. This will be our overnight stop from now on when coming through town.

Older hotel with fun history. Room all re-done comfortable beds. Perfect stay for our trip to Bodie. Fun walking around town. Treat yourself and drive to the Virginia Settlement for dining just a few minutes up the road. Food was very good. The places in walking distance for dining were not great
