“Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay.”

“I found the owner to be very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Good facilities at the accommodation with ample parking. Very adjacent to Bath and Somerset Showground for access to Newwine conference as well as close to Shepton Mallet. Breakfast was substantial and decent. Overall, good stay. Thank-you”

“Brief stay as a family of 4 before a flight from Bristol airport but this gave us everything we needed including plenty of parking, tasty evening meal/drinks, comfortable beds and an easy transfer the next morning. The bonus is that the family room has 4 full beds which is great for teenage travellers. ”

“The Staff were fantastic - couldn't be more helpful. Room was ok, very clean, and had a good night's rest. Lovely meal and had a nice wander around the village. Very convenient off the A303 for a break on our trip to Cornwall. Highly recommend.”

“Loved it here! Beautiful, old pub. Spent 1 night, cosy room, comfy bed & pillows, good over-bath shower, lovely room, with the all imprtant kettle & teabags! Had dinner & pud (lovely) lovely pub gardens, loads of parking, right at the end of a lane, so quiet. Service was EXCELLENT! Spent all night talking to the lovely bar staff - (and they were genuinely lovely) and one of their regulars 'Aled' 😃 Finished the stay with a full cooked breakfast, again, service was excellent. “C'était un vendredi et le pub servait alors il y avait un peu de bruit avec la fenêtre ouverte. Mais cela ne nous a pas vraiment gêné. On est allé boire un coup également. L'hôtel n'est pas moderne, mais très confortable. Les chambres sont vraiment très bien. Pour se garer, il y a un parking payant en journée très proche et très pratique pour charger et décharger les affaires. Le personnel est très dynamique, sympathique,le petit déjeuner très copieux. Nous avons apprécié notre nuit ! ”
