With a very elegant Romanesque church built in the 14th century & a city stadium, nestled in the heart of the Bresse countryside in the hollow of an agricultural plain dotted with ponds between the fish-filled rivers of the Sâne & the Seille (a natural area classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its wealth of fauna & flora), Brienne benefits from a beautiful landscaped setting all around, combining fields of crops, hedged meadows, ponds & vast wild forests, not far from the first vineyards of the Mâconnais.
