Worth It!

Comfortable stay and easy check in. We got in late and the self check in was very easy to understand. Amazing view on the castle! A short walking distance to the town centre/square. The breakfast was really good and the people working there were very welcoming!

The hotel was good. Nice breakfast nice people. Only negative was didn't like self check in and the third person's bed was extremely lumpy and hard hence a poor night sleep. Otherwise good.

The owner and staffs are very kind and courteous. The property looks conservative decorated and pleasant to stay. The owner greeted the guests every morning at breakfast which is very good quality of food & drinks. Big room, bathroom and balcony that I could smoke outside and look at Mountain View. Not far from bus stop. Very impressive.

Wonderful location next to the castle. A short walk from the train station. We were able to leave our stuff before check-in and after check out in the storage room which was very convinient. The manager was very nice and helpful, he came to great us and ask about our time at breakfast which was lovely. He even had skiing suggestions for us. The room was nice and spacious, perfectly fitting 4 people. We also had a big balcony. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options.

Difficulty checking in. Nobody there and had a little difficulty. Parking spots were full so we parked in front. No air conditioning and it was very very hot. But we knew no air. Breakfast area ran out of most food and all juice for over 30 minutes. Comfortable beds and nice patio off of room.

Not pleased at all- My husband and I booked a room that had a double bed for the night to break up the train ride from Andermatt to Zermatt, and our room had two twin beds that were pushed together. This hotel building is very old and has extremely thin walls, our room shared the wall where the stairs and elevator was. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep because we heard every little noise throughout the hotel. Not only were we awoken multiple times by guests using the stairs, but anytime someone flushed the toilet or ran the shower/sink, the plumbing was heard very clearly in our room. The pillows were also terrible and the most uncomfortable I’ve ever experienced. Two positives- it was close to the train station/shops and the early check in at 2pm was nice. Check out left me feeling even more disappointed as we were in the lobby dropping the cards in the basket, and the person at the reception did not bother to greet or ask us how the stay was. I’m very bummed on our experience but hope this helps others in their decision on staying here.

Perfecto lugar para reponer fuerzas

Fueron muy profesionales y eficaces a la hora de alargar una noche nuestra estancia. Al tener el desayuno incluído se puede empezar el día sin tener la sensación de que te has arruinado, como suele pasar en los restaurantes suizos, y todo el personal fue muy amable. Nos fue genial que tuvieran servicio de lavandería, así que el hotel y su ubicación junto al parque y coqueto castillo de Stockalper fue el lugar perfecto para reponer fuerzas y planear visitas a lugares como Zermatt.
