Loved the character and history of the hotel. Loved the architectural feature and the authenticity. I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff and the fact they they are knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and their willingness to share that knowledge. Great place full of a soul of its own, unlike many other soulless corporate hotels. The uniqueness of the Old Ship Hotel should be celebrated and retained.

It was tricky to find the room because of the signs from the stairs but once I had done, it was a great size room with practical bathroom - although I couldn’t get any hot water despite leaving it running.
