  • 1930's Direct lake front cottage. 58' of west facing frontage on Lake Simcoe in the town of Beaverton. Sand beach with sand/stone wade in, sand bottom beyond wade in. Shallow depth great for swimming great for children. 60' dock with large area for sun worship.

    Enjoy the outdoors well into the night at the fire pit overlooking the lake. Large yard.

    Located on a gorgeous street with large mature trees. Wood Floors throughout. Gas fireplace. Electronics include: 75Mbps unlimited WIFI, Bell Expressvu Satellite and a wall mounted flat-screen HD TV.

Charming cottage with 4 bedrooms. Beautiful sunsets with a dock to walk out on to enjoy the view. Lovely living room facing the water to hear the waves crashing in while still in the cottage. The town of Beaverton, harbour and pier is a beautiful little town on the water. The family enjoyed our stay, memories were made here.

Ideal location for our visit, enjoyed the fire pit, jetty and beach and were lucky enough to have several fantastic sunsets.House has everything you need it is an older property so a little rustic around the edges but suited us fine.Amy great host and helpful in providing bedding and towels which are not normally provided for us as we came from EnglandWould happily stay again if in the area in the future

Great family cottage retreat

A great vacation property with swimming, a fire pit, lots of bedrooms, and full amenities in the house. Also a really great location in terms of GTA proximity.

This charming, clean, well maintained property has lake access (with stairs) a gas fireplace a woodburning fire pit and ample parking. Inside is a lovely comfortable living area.

Family 3 day Weekend getaway

The cottage is great, on the water, a short bike ride into town. Beaverton in charming, quaint shops, harbor, old historic home, and dinner spots. The cottage is an old Edwardian house, it is lovely and perfect for hanging by the dock, around the fire pit, eating together or lying on the couch. We had a great time, would like to come back.

The cottage was clean. The sunsets were lovely & the view very nice.It would have really helped if I had been told to bring sheets; pillows; towels & washcloths.It would have been nice if instructions were left to work the new & modern T.V.Also there were no condiments of any kind including olive oil; or any spices; placemats or napkins.

Family vacation

We loved our time at this cottage!! The cottage was very clean and cozy with lots of space for a family of 5. Amy (the host) was very quick at responding to any questions before our stay and the check in process was very easy. Water shoes are a must for entering the lake as it’s a little rocky. Overall it was a great experience.

Great Family Getaway!!

Was looking for a cottage to celebrate my fathers 80th birthday and came across Amy's listing. So glad I booked it. Amy was such a great host with communication all through the process. The cottage was just as shown and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lake front property.

Cant think of anything bad to say about this place.! The veiws are wortth every penny. Host took very good care of us and responded promptly to our concern. Welcomed us with some nice cold beer! So nice after a long trip. Lots of room on the property for games and a campfire. The beach area was so awesome and water was so perfect! Bring water shoes for a great experience.

Great Place

Came here with my elderly mom for a quiet week, and this spot delivered. The cottage has real charm — it’s an old house with character, nestled beneath beautiful mature sugar maples that throw perfect shade for sitting outside. Plenty of spots to relax outdoors with a coffee or a book.Inside, the place was clean and cozy, with good internet and a smart TV setup that worked well. It’s not modern or flashy, but that’s the point — it’s peaceful, homey, and lets you breathe.Amy, the host, was excellent — quick to reply, helpful, and friendly. Exactly the kind of person you want on the other end of a stay like this. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone looking for a calm getaway with a bit of charm and soul.

We had a great time!

A few of my siblings and myself had not seen each other for about 6 years, we arranged this get together with the three of us and our children! Everything was great, there was not one problem with anything in or outside of the cottage, location was great and we loved the fact that the water was shallow for a long way out. Best time

We stayed at Amy’s cottage/home for 3 nights in August 2024 with our friends and all our kiddos. We had the best time. The cottage was layed out perfectly, with the big dining area and living room. I loved the covered porch. The fire pit was overlooking the water and you can see the sunset every night. The dock was large and could fit us all. The water was perfect. It wasn't weedy but having water shoes is helpful as its rocky in some places. We spent the whole day in the water. Also, the cottage is so close to Beaverton including Beaverton Harbour. The kiddos went fishing off the pier plus there is a beach and splash pad. Also, a great restaurant with ice cream. Amy was such a great host. She answered all my questions promptly and was so lovely. We would all stay here again!

Charming cottage, right on the water, but not exactly as advertised. There are no linens, blankets or pillows on the beds except for a fitted sheet, so guests are required to pack their own. The house is quite sparse and minimalist, no games, books, or pillows/blankets for the couch. There is a loud train that goes right past the house every couple of hours day and night. The train blares its horn every time it travels through the town. Town is cute, has pizza and ice cream, a couple of toy/dollar stores and a great public beach with playground and splash pad. Water in this part of the lake (at cottage and public beach in beaverton) is VERY shallow. Great for toddlers, not deep enough for adults to swim really until quite far from shore where there are a lot of motor boats and seados. Overall, the house was clean, adequately appointed, and large enough for 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids. Would not have booked if I had known about the train and lack of bedding ahead of booking.

Amazing Sunsets and Lake Views

The Cottage is quite roomy, with good sized bedrooms (I like it dark when I sleep so would have liked curtains), large Living Rm with modern Sectional & cozy gas fireplace, great views of the lake, nicely stocked kitchen. The lake is very shallow from shore to quite a distance out so perfect for kids. A little beach area for kids to play, but rocky entrance into water (bring water shoes), and then Sandy. Evenings were enjoyed watching the sun go down and later around the fire pit with ample wood supplied. Amy, the host was great to deal with and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful Property and Wonderful Owners!

My friends and I had a great weekend ending our summers at this beautiful property. They were not kidding about how beautiful the sunsets were! Easy drive and easy to find. Amy was a great owner who was able to quickly respond to any needs I had.

The Perfect Family Getaway

My family (5 adults & 3 kids under 7) rented this cottage at the beginning of August. Amy was an amazing host and responded very quickly to any of our questions. She also provided a wonderful welcome package when we arrived. The cottage was very spacious and had more than enough room for all of us. The bedrooms were big and able to accommodate mattresses for the kids. The backyard has lots of green space which was great for the kids to play. The lake was nice and shallow and there were plenty of loungers and chairs for all of us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this cottage!

Sunset Heaven

my friends and I rented this place to get away from the city for a few days. The location is excellent as it is not that far from Toronto and is close to town for convenience if we needed anything. The view of the sunset is amazing! We had a great time and it is spacious enough for 8 people. Amy was so hospitable and even left us chocolate and drinks as a welcome! Will definitely rent it again.

Wonderful and charming

Wonderful stay. Spacious and scenic, close to all amenities. September stay was quite chilly but the giant fireplace made it cozy. Thank you Amy!
