"We arrived later then planned. The man behind the desk checked us in. I had to tell him that we had a dog, even though she was with us. He charged the pet fee and gave us the key to the room. We proceeded to our room on the 2nd floor, even though a 1st floor room was requested. We opened the door and to our surprise someone was occupying the room, Luckily, they were not there. We returned to the front desk and explained thee situation. the man seemed puzzled but gave us keys to another room. That room was OK, definitely not a deluxe king room as requested. It seemed to be missing furniture. We got ourselves situated.
The next morning, we tried to sleep in after our late arrival but were awakened by the maid staff, We asked if they could come back later, but they entered the room, with us not dressed, and cleaned the room (bumping us several times because we must have been in their way. Once they left, we got ourselves ready with a very small piece of soap, The rest of the day went alright.
Before going to bed, we decided to skip room service in the morning and called the front desk to let them know. The staff member stated that it was all set. Yet, the next morning again, the maids knocked on our door. We had not even woken up yet. I raised my voice and told them NO room service was needed,
Thank goodness we were leaving the next morning so we were up and left at the designated time.
This hotel was close to the relatives we were visiting. Not sure if we would go back there.
