All in all a recommended place to stay in Brussels

The service I got from the staff was amazing. Super friendly and trying to do their best. The cleaning of the room could have been better and a renovation of the rooms would be good as well. Question is, will the renovation be profitable for the owners, I guess not. All in all, I love the place and do highly recommend it.

The room seemed to be of a certain age, but the facilities were adequate and no inconveniences for a family stay. The unmanned check-in was smooth, and the washing machine on the basement floor worked perfectly. If I have the opportunity to sfay in Brussels agaIn, I would definitely use this accommodation.

Excellent staff - who supported me in a tricky situation. They were caring, thoughtful, respectful and I can't rate them highly enough in that regard. The location is great, quite, bus to from airport is 5 mins walk. The hotel is opposite a pretty park; 20 mins walking you are in the city centre. Several nice pubs and small restaurants are within 5 - 10 mins walk. I felt safe as a single traveler. Thank you!

Great family stay for exploring Belgium

Large, comfy apartments. Helpful and friendly front desk staff. Good location for getting to train and metro. Only downsides were no A/C in rooms during some hot summer nights (but the staff kindly provided us with fans to help), and that one of our rooms did not have a pull-out sofa as advertised (but we adjusted).

Good location

Great location, good links to the rest of the city through public transport. Needs refurbishing, quite tired and rundown. Minimal gym, but better than none and free laundry facilities which were most welcomed. Make sure you contact them in advance to get check-in instructions. We didn’t get them and it was a nightmare getting in. However, management was responsive to comments and addressed the situation promptly.

This apartment did the job for a 3 day stay. We spoke with housekeeping a couple of times and useful in each occasion. Did have to call the emergency number on one occasion due to leaving straighteners on in the room, however they did not answer after multiple calls. They eventually called back and were very good and attended the room to turn the straighteners off. Some marks in the carpet however the general cleanliness of the apartment was good. Next to a bus stop for the apartment and the metro was nearby. The area was quiet and we slept with windows open and no issues with noise.

The room and bathroom were very clean but the decor and fittings were a little dated. We had a kitchen area which was well equipped and very clean and had a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and fridge. The bedroom had a huge bed which was very comfortable. Our teenagers slept on the bed settee which was comfortable too. The rooms were bright and airy and had blackout curtains. All rooms overlooked a beautiful park that we used a lot and it had a little kiosk serving drinks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked the car park which is at the side of the hotel and was very safe and secure. It is underground and was a little challenging with our 7 seater but manageable. We enjoyed our stay very much and would use the hotel again.

I booked a room for a weekend in Bruxelles. The room in itself was fine with enough space and a great bed. But the entire 2 floor was so warm. I turned on the AC to cool me room down only to find out it blew out warm air. I asked in the reception if this could be fixed, but it was not a mistake. They advised me to open the balcony door to get in cold air, but the balcony was shared with multiple rooms which felt a bit unsafe. Also when I went to take a cold shower to cool down for the extremely warm room, it only had hot water?! So this hotel is definitely for you if you love warm conditions.

Poor cleaning

The apartment was central and had a decent location. The size was also good, with a living room and dining area for all 5. But the apartment was more worn than we had expected, and it was not particularly well cleaned. It is unpleasant to see such clear traces from the previous guest! We complained about two things at the reception, poor cleaning and worn, holey towels. They promised to fix this while we were out. When we came back, they had changed out the poor towels, but the new ones were also holey and worn! AND it was still just as poorly cleaned in one of the bathrooms. Disappointing that a remark on cleaning is not followed up better. We wouldn't recommend B-Aparthotel Ambiorix to others.
