“The whole setup was really good.”

“Property was as described and as remembered (it was my granny’s old cottage!) . The welcome pack of goodies was a nice surprise. The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated with a cozy homely feel. I especially loved the fluffy white towels provided! I was put in touch with Debbie after I booked and she was great at communicating before, during and after the stay. I booked through Hotels.com but it’s a Sykes cottage and due to this Sykes wouldn’t let me amend any details through their app……

“Room nothing like the photos. Broken sky light with no blind. Wall paper peeling off. Filthy carpets, stained and very very unpleasant. Checked out after being there for 1/2 hour and just got " sorry". I have stayed in some unpleasant places but this was frankly disgusting . Waste of money, no refund offered”

“What a lovely cottage very clean and tidy absolutely loved it. Would highly recommend it . Very lovely village quiet and picturesque next to fishing port lovely walks down by the sea and a great fish and chip shop”

“It was really special to experience a fisherman’s cottage in a genuine fishing village. Could not have been better than in the home of Cullen Skink. As you would imagine it’s very compact and very homely. It was lovely to listen to the ocean at night and see all the bird life. You aren’t very far from the ocean even if you’re not in the front row. It’s clean, warm and comfortable. Could do with a cheese grater.”

“The whiskey bar is amazing.”

“Fantastic place to stay. Lovely couple who Can’t do enough for you. Great breakfast lovely clean friendly place. Highly recommend”

“Wonderful location next to the River Spey. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Quickly resolved a problem with me having inadvertently paid twice. Lively bar with good food. Room was very comfortable”
