"Our room was very clean and we enjoyed it for our stay. Although it was smaller than we expected but the bathroom was a good size with a decent shower. We liked the view from the room straight up the road towards the Obelisco (not direct sightline). The check in staff were friendly and helpful. Our only disappointment was with the food. Our room service was not great and arrived barely hot. Breakfast was also hit and miss. The system was never explained to us - we did not know until the last day we could order eggs or omelettes. The breakfast buffer was also hit and miss with what was there. It seemed it wasn't always filled up regularly so if it was gone, it was gone. This was consistent during our stay. In summary, good hotel in a great location but could do with improving breakfast and room service. "

"An historical icon that still attends to the needs of a modern traveler. We have family in BA and have traveled there many times, staying at the Alvear was on our bucket list, and it did not disapoint in any way. From the cocktails in the lounge to the bed linens, it was superb. "

"Clean room and bathroom, just the bathroom is outdated needs some work/ repair. Like other reviews you can hear noise from outside street. It is a busy street overall. My room was on the sixth floor. Elevators are really small. Friendly staff. "
