"The toilet was so high up i couldn't do a sh*t. I'm six foot tall, but when I was sat on the toilet my feet were not touching the ground. Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. Top Burntisland Hotel Reviews

Apex Waterloo Place Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Great stay. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good with lots of options and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend and stay again."

YOTEL Edinburgh, Select by Hilton

8/10 Good

"Location is amazingly convenient for the new town of Edinburgh. Staff were mostly really helpful and accommodating. But the bed in our room was very uncomfortable and we had a real issue one night with noise outside our room in the corridor. This was not repeated thankfully. One of our pillows was not clean - sadly only noticed on the last night."

The Hoxton, Edinburgh

8/10 Good

"Hotel was easy to find, staff were all exceptional and rooms were clean. Things to be aware of…they have rooms in the main building and rooms in the building across the street. Buildings are secure and safe, however you cannot take drinks across the street so if you want a glass of wine in bed it’s not possible. Also parking is about a10-15min walk from the hotel."
