“We were in town for Picklesburgh with our dog and the home was everything we needed. It was safe, fenced in, and comfortable. Any makeup girlies, utilize the cabinet in the bathroom it will save you time getting ready. The stairs are steep but going up them a few times will get you used to them. Grateful there were enough towels and washcloths for our stay, we’ve not had that luck at many places we’ve stayed at. Highly recommend this place! “What a lovely house! The 3 of us came in just to visit Punxsutawney and fell in love with Smicksburg! We enjoyed our stay here so much and would definitely return. The check in was simple and parking in the back worked out great. The kitchen is enormous, stocked with plenty of utensils/dishes, soap, plastic wrap, salt/pepper shakers. There aren't many restaurants in the area, so making full use out of the kitchen was very helpful. In addition, there was a cute little coffee/tea setup, full water……

“Throughout our stay, when required, Shelly communicated in a timely and coherent manner. The home was clean and the neighborhood was quiet, safe and family oriented. Downtown Pittsburgh is very accessible from this location and all necessary amenities can be found in either Verona or Oakmont (giant eagle, coffee shops, nice restaurants, etc). If we return to this area, we would certainly look into renting Shelly’s vrbo again! :)”

Highly recommend Eastern European restaurant Apteka, w/excellent natural wines, and Gordo’s on Mt Washington (roasted baby carrot tacos on fresh corn tortillas, hibiscus lime sparkler). ”
