Welcome to the Log Beach House by the Ocean: PEI’s North Shore Experience. Home to one of the Points East Coastal Drive’s 50 beaches, this is a 5-star rated authentic log home that offers the perfect combination of indoor and outdoor living. The destination is located on a large, private treed one-acre lot just a 3-minute walk (private path to the beach just across the street) from miles and miles of deeded access to superb white sandy beaches. Your family and friends can spend the days at the beach and then return to enjoy the many outdoor amenities that this location has to offer, including nights at the bonfire, an outdoor heated shower, an infrared sauna or lounging on multiple spacious decks or within the screened-in gazebo. Awesome house near to a gorgeous beach

Our party of 4 adults stayed for a week in mid-June at this beautiful log house. The house had everything we needed - just like a real home would. The surroundings were great and we really enjoyed the screened in Gazebo, large porch and barbeque. It was a short walk to the amazing beach nearby. Several kilometres of sandy beach for beautiful walks. All in all a great stay.

Very homey

We really enjoyed this comfortable, clean and welcoming house. A lot of thought has been given to a good guest experience. It was great to be within walking distance of a lovely beach. It's in a rural area so it was quiet. It's a bit of a drive to get to commercial things, so we planned our outings accordingly and cooked most dinners in the well-equipped kitchen. Geoff was very responsive. The 3 of us agreed this was the best VRBO any of us had stayed in.

Perfect Vacation Property

The log beach house has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing vacation. Fully stocked kitchen, beautiful bedrooms, outdoor shower, firepit, and many other amenities too numerous to mention. The hosts have gone above and beyond to create a welcoming home away from home. The beautiful sandy beach is less than 5 minutes away and we rarely saw anyone else there. I would highly recommend this rental!

Really great, quiet setting. Uncrowded beach. Big enough for privacy: you can get away from noise or sleep in. Nice range of toys, games and big decks. Yard gave room for baseball. Outdoor shower nice. Wild flowers and berries, beach right across road.

A wonderful week on the beach!

We enjoyed an amazing relaxing week at cable head. The house is beautiful and well appointed, there was everything you could need in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the rooms very lovely! We walked to the beach every day which was beautiful and almost empty all week. The kids loved the porch swings and hammock too. Saint Peters and Souris were very close to pickup seafood and groceries to bring back. We will definitely return!

A Wonderful place to stay!

We spent a little over a week at the Log Beach House by the Ocean, with our family. Geoff was very accommodating, and replied to our questions promptly. The house was very clean, and everything we needed was provided (laundry detergent, lots of bath & beach towels...), and the outdoor shower was so convenient. The kids were delighted with candies in their room, and everything needed to make smores! Even a bottle of wine! The beach is a short walk away, and the St. Peter's Bay area is gorgeous, with a friendly community and great shops. A few of our favourites were Rick's Fish & Chips, Freckles and Porcelain, and the Confederation Trail Bike Rental Adventures. Thanks so much Geoff & Silvia for helping to make our stay in PEI so lovely!

Great family getaway

Beautiful log house at a great location. Easy drive to many of the Islands beaches on the north shore east side. Can accommodate 8 guests very well without feeling crowded. Well supplied with all the gear you would need for a family stay.

Rustic Elegance

Geoff and Sylvia certainly have an eye for detail and most everything thing you need or might have forgotten was there. The place was absolutely amazing! So many things to make you feel at home. We were hoping to get some much needed downtime and relax and this Beach Log House more than accommodated us. Very private but close to many necessities as well as opportunities for excursions. We have family on the island and the property was loved by all that visited. We will definitely come again!

Great stay

We had a great stay at the Log Cabin Cottage. The location is awesome, out of the way and very quiet. There was lots of room to have fun and run around. The cabin was spacious, very well appointed. The description does not do it justice. We had great beach access and the beach goes on forever. Geoff was really easy to get in touch with and very helpful. We will be returning.

Log home, Cable Head East, PEI

Wonderful log home in a lovely setting on PEI. This home is lovely, well equipped and comfortable. It is a large home that is still very cosy. The home has everything you could possibly need to make your stay a wonderful vacation. So many great outdoor elements, shower, fire pit, enclosed gazebo, and great hanging chairs on covered porch. Lovely long beach is only 2-3 minutes walk away. Restaurants, bakery, fresh fish and walking trails are a short drive away. The owner of this home responds to all enquires very promptly. We took up an entire morning of his time with many enquiries when we suddenly had to change our itinerary due to bad weather approaching. He answered every question immediately and we were so relieved to know he was there to help. We recommend this home highly and will definitely return. Thank you Geoff for a great stay at your superb home.

This was a genuinely magical spot. The house itself is beautiful and cozy, with lots of amazing outdoor space. Great access to the beach and the PEI national park. We could have easily stayed twice as long! Thank you for all the beautiful memories we made this week.

A home away from home

We are PEI vacation regulars. We have been coming for many years. In the past we have typically stayed more west of the island like Stanhope, Cavendish or Stanley Bridge area. We were at first a touch worried that this place would be a bit further than what we would prefer. But once arrived on site, our concerns were washed away. It is a beautiful quiet area. You are literally a 2-minute walk to your private access to the beach. On the beach, we never saw more that a dozen people spread over a few kilometers. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It is clean and well equipped. It also has air conditioning (A rare amenity in cottage rentals) and this was greatly appreciated. You are a short drive from any services you might need during your stay. There’s also tons of thing and places to explore in the area. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

Perfect Dream Stay for Families

My wife and I and our three kids spent a week at the Log Beach House and couldn’t have been happier with it. The whole property is beautiful, immaculately maintained and full of thoughtful details. Whether it was a day at the beach (fold up chairs, beach toys and umbrellas) or a day trip into town (maps, guides) or a cozy night in (games, TV box) we had everything we needed (or forgot to bring). Our girls raved about their beautiful rooms and cozy couches but by far our favourite feature was the screened-in gazebo. The assortment of bugs on the island make this a crucial component to the property. We spent a part of every night in there under the string lights listening to the surf. It took about 90 minutes on our first day for our kids to ask if we can book again every year and we will definitely return.

The perfect vacation house...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Log Beach House, for 8 days, and we loved every single moment!!! Extremely comfortable beds, very well equipped house, very clean, a private backyard where we spent moments of calm and rest. Two minutes walk from a beautiful beach where we were able to take long walks. Check-in super easy, communicating with the host was fast. Geoff is a very attentive to details and thoughtful host...a good bottle of wine was waiting for us to wish us a good stay...a very appreciated personalized touch!! Our stay was extremely relaxing, calme and pleasant, we couldn't ask for more, everything was perfect!!!! Too bad it had to come to a end!!! Thank you so much for everything ❤️
