I had to call and remind them I was coming. He did answer the phone right away and did give me information on how to get into the apartment.

We booked thinking it was a small apartment with a kitchenette at a discounted price for off season. We were mistaken. Seems as though depending on the price he feels like posting, that’s the quality room you get. We would’ve paid more had we known. But he barely responded and spoke to me even though I paid up front. There were stains on the bed, sheets, and pillows, dust everywhere and the shower drain backed up by the 4th day. I have been coming to PR my entire life as my family is here. I usually stay with them but decided not to. I read all of the reviews and thought, we need a bed and bathroom, how bad could it be? The kitchenette would have been a bonus. Juan rarely responded to me. And on the 6th day, a fumagator showed up and started spraying the other rooms. Then the owner showed up and asked if he could spray in our room. I declined and asked Vrbo if it was safe. They said the owner told them the chemicals used were safe so I dropped it. The owner then messaged me that if I want to cancel, he’ll start the process. I bet, after taking the money up front he would have loved for me to cancel two days before I left. Location is honestly perfect, but I’d rather spend the money on a clean room. I was told when I checked in that if I wanted any type of cleaning service or anything, it costs extra, also then told me they haven’t taken people for more than a day or two in over two years. The headline says: “HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!” Huge difference to what? I can’t even imagine.
Drain clogged.
Bed stained.
First wipe of only 1 of 3 shelves.
Half cleaned.

I was disappointed at every aspect. Shower curtain with mold, Dead cockroach in the corner, bed and sofa-bed NOT comfortable at all, poor communication etc.

The property was great in the middle of everything. The property owner was attentive and provided us with information of where to go during our stay. We throughly enjoyed our visit.

Location. Location. Location.

I’d read the reviews prior & chose to rent anyway and see for myself. The unit most definitely has a bug problem. The 2 small towels provided were insufficient to last the length of our stay & there wasn’t any linen for the pull out couch. As for the ‘noise’ other folks mentioned, that is what to expect in a country like Puerto Rico. I found the roosters & dogs to be a beautiful reminder of island living. The music over the weekend just reminded me of the festive style of the Boricua. The bed was very comfortable, the fridge essential to keep medication cold and have i mentioned location? It was located in the center of Boquerón & the vibe was phenomenal as well as the restaurant next door. All in all, despite the bugs: ants, I would stay here again because of its location to everything. The owner was very responsive prior to check in and was accommodating of an early check in. If I do rent this place again, I’d be sure to bring my own bug spray & towels. Truth is, for the price we paid. I wasn’t expecting Ritz Carlton service.

Boqueron Poblado Visit

Property has adjoining door to next door room that you can hear everything!!! Man snoring, kids screaming, everyone talking, shower head was bad but replaced, bed sheet stained, tile fell off base board, front glass door does not let you sleep in due to light, sounds from front of room are heard very clear, bath shade was broken, plant vines were growing into bathroom, shower heater was too hot, next door to property had 3 gobbling turkeys and a bunch of pigeons, barking dog, gap under door lets bugs, sounds and light in. Room was nicely painted, comfortable and had good working AC. There were water stains on the roof tile. I left the property the first of 4 days we were to stay and when I called to complain, Vrbo said I needed evidence about my complaint to get my money back so I went back on day 3 because it had not been rented to document everything I said in this review. I would not recommend to stay there.

SELF SERVICE

Messaged manager as soon as i booked never answered. Called manager when arriving never answered. Booked for 2nights 3 adults 1 child and recieved 2 towels. Sofa bed had no sheets. cleaning lady just happen to be there when arriving and was of some assistance. Btw we checked out a night before

The place is perfectly located! In the heart of the Poblado. The only problem is the parking since it’s shared with the restaurant but aside from that it’s perfect! Definitely staying again.
