"while the weather was beyond anyone’s control, I had such a cozy stay and was perfect for the R&R that I needed. The grounds, the room and the entire property was so delightful though there were other guests. I don’t think I saw even one! It was truly so lovely in the rooms. I think everyone was cozied up by their fires during the rainy evenings. I really loved the grocery store, though the prices are a bit higher than in store, you’re paying for the convenience of all your necessities being right there and I thought that was really nice. Plus your room already comes with plenty of eggs, cheese and bacon for breakfast cereals, granola and yogurt as well as milk and juice so there’s not really much else to grab unless you are going to make a nice dinner. I truly loved all of the kitties, despite I’m allergic, they were adorable, kept to themselves, and we’re awfully cuddly when I was leaving (They are also vaccinated so there’s no worries.) on top of that there are chickens, ducks, and sheep on the property and I hope to come back when the weather is better to enjoy that beautiful pool, the vegetation, and the beautiful views! thank you again for such a wonderful stay and apologies again for setting off the fire alarm! 😂 i’ve got to get used to using those cast-iron stoves! "

"The ocean was visible .we particularly enjoyed the beach cafe. My only criticism would be lack of privacy due to transclucent glass in shower and toilet plus the the toilet for was a sliding glass panel which was very noisy during the night"

"Food was great and varied,, house keeping staff were brilliant especially Isobel silva Pools were clean but cold Staff at reception were brilliant The only down side I could find was the beds were too hard and very worn, and could do with replacing. Overall a great place to stay but be aware on-site parking is 10 euros a day and the room safe is 19 euros a week ???? But if you want a good clean and well staffed hotel Look no further. "

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Nelson’s house in Calheta. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The house has such a cozy and inviting atmosphere, it immediately felt like a home away from home.One of the highlights for us was the beautiful garden & ocean view. It’s clearly cared for with love, and it creates such a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The view from the property is absolutely stunning, and spending time outside, whether in the morning or at sunset, was a real pleasure.The house itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It suited us perfectly and provided a great base to unwind and enjoy the area.As mentioned in the description, it is a cliff house, so you walk down to reach it. Parking is available on the side of the road, and there are steps leading to the house. For us, the steps were completely manageable, but it may not be suitable for someone with mobility difficulties.Overall, we really enjoyed the house, the garden, and the incredible view. It was the perfect place for what we needed, and we would happily stay again."

"Without a doubt Calhetas best place to stay and eat. Small boutique hotel with high quality food, service, rooms/ houses and a cliff top location second to none. Staff provide attentive but not obtrusive service. Really lovely place to stay. Imagine sitting amidst the vines, fruit veg and flower garden by the lavender edged pool watching the sunset with wine from their own vines before sampling their Michelin type taster menu. Yep that’s Socalco. "

"The house was spacious, clean, with a tremendous view. We enjoyed the full kitchen and cooked great meals at home. It's located in quiet Calheta just down the street from a delightful tiki bar. It's a quiet slice of paradise. "
